We have to steal it. I don't care what it takes. Maybe level first though, and grab some brainstorm. It'll cost around £1500, but it puts my power up to level 16, from 6. Lovely brainstorm. And if I get some blue fire too, that's level 19.

That's up to them, they can steal one or work for it. You can get a cheap one for a couple million. Failing that, get a patron who lends you one, or join the army as a pilot.
