Negima GURPS II: Electric Boogaloo

Post by DorianCreed on Tue Sep 04, 2012 8:13 pm

Having saved the world, the heroes departed. They left for their own worlds, to spend the time they needed to spend with those they needed to spend it with. They would be called back many times, and would face many evils, but their greatest victory would always be their first - the one nobody remembers. But there would come a time, in the middle of the 21st century, after many years of peace, when they would not come when they were needed. They abandoned the world in it's darkest hour, when the Aether Spawn hordes came crashing through the universe, aiming for the greatest magical source ever to exist - Earth. Their armies took us by storm, eradicating all of our defences in mere minutes with no apparent effort. They killed everyone who could possibly fight back, and many besides, leaving the hopes and dreams of humanity broken and shattered in the ruins of our civilisation. They harnessed the Cosmic Keystone placed on Earth to break the walls of reality, to let in more of these abominations unto existence. They took our planet from us and ground us into its dirt.

It is the year 2358 and humanity is all but gone. All that remains are small groups living in the ruins of the cities, as well as those that have made homes for themselves with the wreckage of the old world. Shipping Crate houses line the docks, sheepskin tents are pitched in the fire-seared fields, and the Aether Spawn, having never left, prey upon us, like dogs preying upon rats. The heroes are still absent - most believe them dead. May the gods save us.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok, mechanical tiem. GURPS, 75 points, 40 point disadvantage limit, TL 8, $2000 starting cash, no more than 1/3 of your points can be on unnatural things. Also, all advantages based on having more money are banned. Otherwise, you're a human. The world is Aether Spawn. Go.

Keep it realistic. You;re not gods by any stretch of the imagination. Hell, you're just average people. Some special things are ok, but not anywhere near the level of the last game. Maybe two or three spells you worked out yourself or you're just a tad too fast, sort of thing.

Mechanical things edited for clarification, as well.

For clarity - you prevent additional wealth from being gained. How does this interact with Patrons that grant equipment and Signature Gear?

Patrons that grant equipment - Don't go overboard and you will NEED a Duty to them to get it.

Sig Gear - I reserve the right to tell you to shove any and all signature gear upside your face. Other than that, go nuts.

As in, Synaptic Magic? No. Brand new spells that do things? Make sure there isn't a combo with the various existing and meta spells that does the same thing, then we'll talk.

[20:09] <@Dorian> Last session, shit went down and the shitty little town made out of a trainwreck you're in got attacked by bandits! That's it. Time ran out before the attack happened. We begin now as the attack happens.
[20:09] <@Dorian> "Here they come!" the Mayor yells, as he levels his .44 at the on-rushing horde of about 10 bandits.
[20:12] <Kite> "We see them, you don't have to yell." The brown haired male says gun in hand.
[20:13] <Dark> "And I cry sometimes when I'm lying in bed..." I sing as I level my own gun seemingly to not regester anyone else, small radio on rather loud by my feet.
[20:13] <Spiritcurse> I stare at the horde for a second, then focus on one roughly in the middle of the group.
[20:19] *** [1]Kite (Kite@1E4CA6DF.950E2E0.7C8F6EBF.IP) joined
[20:22] *** Kite quit (Ping timeout)
[20:22] *** [1]Kite changed nick to Kite
[20:27] <dusk> The black haired girl raises her rifle and fires a few rounds at the rushing hoard.
[20:34] <@Dorian> Most of the bullets miss, but one goes straight through the leg of one man, dropping him into a fetal position and leaving him to bleed out.
[20:36] <@Dorian> The highlander-looking man shouts and jumps the barricade, running straight at the bandits
[20:37] <@Dorian> Said bandits mostly advance, knowing that their sawnoff shotguns are ineffective at their current range. However, two of them carry assault rifles, and drop and roll into cover.
[20:38] <@Dorian> Two bandits with shotguns fire at the highlander, but he manages to not be where the bullets are.
[20:40] <Kite> One person not with the bandits decides that wasting bullets sucks and decides to take time to aim properly.
[20:41] <Spiritcurse> I shout "The one on the left!", before aiming and muttering "Bitches don't know 'bout my aim. I don't waste bullets."
[20:46] <@Dorian> The mayor clicks the hammer back on his revolver as the suited men take out silenced pistols with long clips and red dot sights and start aiming at the bandits.
[20:48] <Dark> I simply continue humming to myself to the music, picking one of them out to aim for and making no other movements
[20:51] <dusk> The black haired girl decides to join the club and aims at one of the bandits.
[20:54] <@Dorian> The highlander keeps running and, suddenly being within a sensible range to be shot at with a shotgun, get shot at no less than seven times.
[20:57] <@Dorian> He is promptly reduced to a fine-looking if very mangled corpse.
[20:57] <Dark> "I say hey, Whats going on?"
[20:59] <Dark> "Also..why did he do that?"
[20:59] <Kite> "Ouch..."
[20:59] <@Dorian> The two men with assault rifles start to take aim at the brown-haired man and the woman who has taken one bandit down.
[21:00] <Spiritcurse> "Why would you even? I... I just don't understand. Why block guns with face?"
[21:02] <Kite> The brown hair man not liking getting shot at shoots at the right arm of the one aiming at him with an assualt rifle.
[21:06] <@Dorian> The bullets do a great Amelia Airheart impression, and dissapear mysteriously into the great big blue
[21:09] <Spiritcurse> After lining up a beautiful shot, a bullet penetrates his left lung in a small explosion of blood. He drops to the floor instantly.
[21:11] <@Dorian> The mayor starts shooting at one of the shotgun bandits, dropping him instantly.
[21:13] <@Dorian> The suited men then open fire, their pistols actually being machine pistols, and miss with incredible skill.
[21:17] <Dark> "And I say" I sing, pullling the trigger and blasting a pair of bullets into the arms of one of them, sending him crashing to the ground, grinning "Whats going on..."
[21:19] *** [1]Kite (Kite@1E4CA6DF.950E2E0.7C8F6EBF.IP) joined
[21:20] <dusk> The black haired girl, taking offense to being aimed at, shoots at the man aiming at her with her rifle.
[21:21] *** Kite quit (Ping timeout)
[21:21] *** [1]Kite changed nick to Kite
[21:24] <@Dorian> The bullets clip the man's groin, making him fall over unconcious, bleeding out and in shock
[21:25] <Dark> "Ooh, nice"
[21:27] <Spiritcurse> "I bet that hurt, dick. Get it, 'cause he's a dick too? Oh, no comms system."
[21:27] <Kite> "Bullets don't go there..."
[21:27] <@Dorian> The remaining six bandits all keep running, taking aim with their shotguns.
[21:29] <Kite> The brown haired man, feeling slightly disappointed at not getting a kill, shoots at the running bandits.
[21:33] <@Dorian> One of the bullets clips the torso of a bandit, hurting but not killing him
[21:33] <Kite> "..."
[21:37] <Spiritcurse> Saving time by not aiming, I swing my rifle across and drop another bandit with a grin.
[21:39] <@Dorian> The mayor, out of ammo, flicks open his revolver and takes out a swift-loader of big bullets, loading them in before closing the cylinder.
[21:39] <@Dorian> The suited men just keep firing, assuming killing is better than waiting.
[21:41] <Dark> "Will someone tell those assholes to aim!"
[21:42] <@Dorian> One of them manages to hit, and rips one of the bandits to pieces
[21:48] <Dark> I grunt as I fire again, though I seem to have ignored my own advice and promptly miss
[21:51] <dusk> The black haired girl takes aim once again.
[21:52] <Kite> Not deciding to fire this time he takes aim.
[21:55] <Spiritcurse> I make another minor change to my trajectory, and another bandit drops to the floor with a broken heart.
[21:56] <@Dorian> The mayor brings his gun up and fires several times as the suited men fire as well.
[21:58] <@Dorian> Though one of the suited men's gun jams, the mayor and one of the men each drop a bandit.
[21:59] <Dark> I mutter to myself as I take aim at one of the bandits "Gonna get ya this time..."
[22:01] <dusk> The girl fires at another bandit.
[22:05] <@Dorian> The bandit propmtly turns into a fine red mist.
[22:05] <@Dorian> The three remaining bandits promptly turn and run the fuck away.
[22:07] <Kite> The brown haired main shoots at the rrunning bandits sending three bullets their way though he only hits one.
[22:10] <Spiritcurse> I fire another shot, missing for the first time. Under my breath, I mutter a torrent of curses ending with "And your mother too."
[22:10] <@Dorian> The mayor fires one last time, alongside the two suited men with working guns.
[22:11] <@Dorian> The mayor misses, but the suited men gun down the last two bandits.
[22:14] <Spiritcurse> Content that the battle is done, I pack away my rifle and climb down, wordlessly.
[22:15] <Dark> "Ah" I sight as I relax my gun and turn back to the radio, picking it up and switching it off before hading over to one of the dead bandits
[22:16] <Kite> "The brown haired male begins to go to the bodies taking their guns for redistribution among the people though planning to keep the assualt rifles unless someone else wants them.
[22:16] <Spiritcurse> "I don't believe it. I had them both in my sights. And yet they still live." Clearly distressed, I walk to bodies and check for survivors.
[22:17] <Dark> I take a shotgun and rummage the body for other supplies "Sorry pal, but you aint gonna need it now"
[22:18] <Spiritcurse> Seeing a few still twitching, I search their bodies for a knife or any currency.
[22:18] <@Dorian> Each of the bandits, in addition to their gun, is wearing an Improved Fragmentation Vest and is carrying a pistol and a conbat knife
[22:19] <@Dorian> They also have two additional "clips" for their weapons
[22:19] <Kite> "Well this went rather well... I guess..."
[22:20] <Spiritcurse> "Mercy, I suppose. Not that you deserve it, scum - sleep eternally" I say to each survivor, speeding their demise with a looted knife.
[22:25] <Dark> "Thanks mate" I nod as I stand back up, leaving the body and heading back over "There were less of them then I expceted"
[22:26] <@Dorian> The mayor nods, "Yes, but that's the third attack this week. Listen, I need to ask a favor. I mean, I'll pay you for doing it, but it'll be dangerous."
[22:27] <Dark> "I'm sure..." I mutter, sliding a backpack from my back and placing my radio in saftly
[22:28] <Kite> "What is it?" He says getting straight to the point.
[22:29] <dusk> " What's the pay?" She asks.
[22:33] <@Dorian> "I need you to go take out the bandit camp near here. They're not Republic, so you should be ok. I'll pay you 500 TU a piece, in addition to the 200 TU you're getting from this."
[22:35] <Kite> "Hm... well let me go distribute this stuff out and I'll leave when the others are ready... providing the others are coming."
[22:36] <Dark> "I'm in" I say, not giving any explanation for it
[22:36] <dusk> "Deal"
[22:39] <Spiritcurse> "500 TU? Not a bad pay rate, I guess. You have my rifle."
[22:39] *** Kite quit (Ping timeout)
[22:40] <@Dorian> And with that particular spatial discrepency that repeatedly happens taking place, reality decided to take a break, and give a good old -END OF SESSION-

A spell like that exists. It's called "Refluffed Fireball". Hell, "Refluffed Lightning Bolt" would do as well.

Lol okay. Also Dorian is it worth investing in spells that are not fire based? (besides create food and create water: I want those spells for obvious reasons)

YES. Fuck me, YES. Some of the most powerful spells in the game (i.e. GREATER FUCKING WISH) require you to know spells from more than one school. Also, Essential Earth + Shape Earth + Earth to Stone (Empowered) = Whatever The Fuck You Want To Make Out Of Orichalcum.

Re: Negima GURPS II: Electric Boogaloo

[21:57] <@Dorian> Last time, after some brief gunplay, you all got sent on a mission to massacre some bandits in a camp near the town of Trainwreck. Let's get on with that. You're just leaving Trainwreck as the game begins
[22:00] <+Kite> Walking towards the destination holding a new toy, the brown haired male looks at the rest of the group. "So... do we walk here all awkwardly or do we get to know each other?"
[22:00] <Spiritcurse> "Where are we going? We do need to know that first. Then introductions."
[22:01] <Dark> "Trainwreck" Lorgor chuckles as he follows, musing to himself "An amusing name. Names Lorgor by the way, just to get that out there"
[22:02] <Spiritcurse> "My name's Aurora. I kill people for money. Deal with it, I guess."
[22:03] <+Kite> ""My name is Issac." Issac says with a shrug.
[22:10] <+Kite> "Well... this is kind of quiet.... I did expect a little more talking." Issac says at the short introductions even though he was guilty of one himself.
[22:10] <Spiritcurse> "We should get moving - the next attack could be soon. Who wants to take point?"
[22:13] <Dark> "Rather not thank you"
[22:14] <Spiritcurse> "Well, I call not it. I'm a sniper after all, who's a meat shield?"
[22:14] <Kite> "What does standing point mean exactly?"
[22:15] <Dark> "Who is going to be in front to get shot at first more or less"
[22:17] <Kite> "Ah... um... yeah... I don't... really want that job."
[22:24] <Kite> "Quiet group..."
[22:25] <@Dorian> Several hours of dreary grey charred landscape later, you all seem to notice a large town - much larger than Trainwreck - that appears to be entirely occupied by Bandits
[22:25] <Dark> "Looks like a fun town"
[22:26] <Spiritcurse> I lay on the ground and draw my rifle, aiming roughly at the gates. "I'll just be a sec. Checking for anything good - cameras, checkpoints..."
[22:26] <Kite> "So...plan?" Issac says looking at all the bandits.
[22:27] <dusk> "Try not to die?"
[22:28] <Dark> "And here was me planning to die" Lorgar chuckles "See what sort of defenses they have?"
[22:29] <Kite> "That's always the plan. Death should be embraced with open hands." Issac says sarcastically.
[22:29] <Dark> "That comes later"
[22:29] <Spiritcurse> "There's some, like, cloaked thing. No cameras or sensors. Hundred and fifty."
[22:30] <Dark> "Cloaked thing?"
[22:31] <Spiritcurse> "I'm not sure either. Like a heat haze or something - double plus ungood."
[22:31] <Dark> "Well..."
[22:32] <Kite> "That sounds... interesting." Issac says now toying with his pistol.
[22:32] <Spiritcurse> "It's on the move now. Not sure where it went either. Even more ungood."
[22:33] <Dark> "We sure this is the place we are supposed to hit?"
[22:34] <dusk> "It would be good to make certain before we try and kill them..."
[22:34] <Spiritcurse> "They look like bandits. They're armed like bandits as well. I think they're bandits."
[22:35] <dusk> "Yes, but are they our bandits, or just some random bandits? We should make sure don't you think?"
[22:36] <Spiritcurse> "What if I shoot one? If it fires back, it's hostile. Nothing could go wrong!"
[22:36] <Dark> "Dont get me wrong, I'm all up for killing bandits. Cloaked things however should be avoided where thy can be if my experiance tells me anything"
[22:37] <Spiritcurse> "Well, we can't see it. That means it can't hurt us, right? How about that one?" I ask, pointing towards one on the walls.
[22:39] <Dark> "Meh, could work"
[22:40] <Kite> Issac says nothing waiting for what the rest of the group will do.
[22:44] <Spiritcurse> What with reckless impulses being fully conductive to planning and preparation, the aforementioned bandit's head explodes.
[22:46] <Dark> "Nice shot"
[22:47] <dusk> "Too bad it wasn't quieter..."
[22:48] <Spiritcurse> "I pride myself there. Been shooting from a young age. Got good at it too."
[22:48] <Kite> "Much better than me." Issac says.
[22:52] <Spiritcurse> "I hear some voices. 'Oh god what the fuck was that' - and other such tales."
[22:52] <Dark> "Same. Think you sturred the hornet nest there. Fun times"
[22:53] <Kite> "So, hidey time?"
[22:53] <dusk> "It would be advisable."
[22:53] <Spiritcurse> "Indeed, time to hide. Some bullets will be here soon. Do not get hit much."
[22:54] <@Dorian> Several bullets hammer into the cliffside dead on cue, if a few yards off.
[22:54] <Dark> "If you say so" Lorgor mutters as he checks the load of his gun, slipping backwards to find somewhere to hide "Never was one for group meetings"
[22:55] <Kite> Issac begins to look around for a rock to hide behind.
[22:58] <Spiritcurse> While crouched behind a rock, I begin painting my face with the dirt and sand, breaking up my outline with small rocks.
[23:03] <@Dorian> Everyone can see, out of the corner of thier eyes, about 20 or so bandits, all with assault rifles, setting off in your general direction. Other bandits are letting out some covering fire for a convoy that is just getting into the town.
[23:04] <Spiritcurse> Camoflauge mostly complete, I begin to crawl away. Hopefully I can get behind the city, and not turned into chunky salsa.
[23:05] <Dark> I stay in my own hiding spot, keeping very still as I watch
[23:10] <Kite> Issac begins to aim with his new assualt rifle so he can shoot when they get close enough.
[23:16] <Kite> Realizing the bandits have a bit of a ways to go to get here, Issac begins moving back from the bandits.
[23:18] <Spiritcurse> I continue creeping towards the city, shaking my head at those not following.
[23:19] <Kite> Issac then begins move along with Aurora getting the message.
[23:19] <Dark> Muttering somthing, I follow, keeping my gun held ready and my body low
[23:21] <dusk> The girl who has remained nameless joins the others in a well planned running away.
[23:25] <Spiritcurse> "We're going in there. Entering in the backdoor. Anyone object?"
[23:26] <Kite> "None from me." Issac says.
[23:26] <Dark> "Sounds good to me"
[23:26] <dusk> "Lets go."
[23:30] <@Dorian> As you head around the back door of the town, you notice the convoy that you saw entering the town earlier. It consists of several bandits and a large group of bedraggled peope in rags. Slaves.
[23:34] <Kite> "Well then..."
[23:37] <Dark> "bastards..."

[21:40] *** duskilyDrawn changed nick to dusk
[21:40] <@Dorian> Last session, you decided, against all rationality, to actually attack the raider camp, mostly because they turned out to also be slavers. So, we're going to go from there.
[21:42] <@Dorian> You're just getting along hidden in the scrub, a good way from the bloody-mindedness of the bandits, and not too far off the slave trains.
[21:44] <dusk> " So, anyone got a plan here?"
[21:45] <Spiritcurse> "Got a plan, I guess. I've not really thought this through - we're going to die."
[21:46] <Dark> "I vote for plan B"
[21:47] <dusk> " Which is?"
[21:47] <Spiritcurse> "There is no plan B. Only the fuckup fairy - we're going to DIE."
[21:48] <Dark> "Kill the bad guys, dont die ourselves, get the bitches" I grin as I look ahead "Seriously though, lets have a look around at least before we declare our deaths"
[21:48] <dusk> " Sounds like a start at least..."
[21:49] <Spiritcurse> "Why not burn it down? I've got plenty of thermite, if it'll help us."
[21:49] <Dark> "Burn it down after we get the good guys out"
[21:50] <Spiritcurse> "That's a better plan. Who knows how to use this stuff? Umm, other than me." I ask, holding out a few bottles and a strip of metal.
[21:51] <Kite> Issac sits there saying nothing as he looks around to make sure no bandits are near the talking group.
[21:54] <Kite> "Guys... bandits are coming this way... about four or five of them..." Issac says to the group.
[21:54] <Dark> "Whoop" Horus mutters, checking the ammo of his gun "Hide or fight guys?"
[21:55] <Spiritcurse> "I'm up for a fight. It's five fewer bandit scum. Or four fewer us."
[21:55] <Dark> "I like there being four of us. Four is a good number to be"
[21:56] <dusk> " Hiding might be better for this situation..."
[21:56] <Kite> "I'm more for the run opition to be honest. Shooting will only make noise and draw attention to us."
[21:56] <Spiritcurse> "Hide, but keep guns out? Better just in case, really - too late to run now."
[21:57] <@Dorian> As you're discussing your options, one of the bandits calls out, "Hey! We found them!"
[21:57] <dusk> "Well there goes that notion."
[21:57] <Dark> Horus simply rolls his eyes
[21:58] <Kite> "Well... that sucks..."
[21:58] <@Dorian> Glancing around, you can see a pair of bandits about ten yards behind you, taking aim. There is noone behind them, however, save a lot of scrub and rocks that would make good cover.
[21:59] <dusk> Black haired girl ducks behind nearby rocks.
[21:59] <Kite> Issac begins to crawl back to hide behind a rock not wanting to be shot.
[21:59] <Spiritcurse> "You have five seconds. Then we slaughter you like pigs. Or, you surrender."
[22:00] <Spiritcurse> As I say this, I draw the explosives from my pack. "Shoot us, I dare you. Then we all die like bitches - it really worth it?"
[22:00] <dusk> " Yes, because antagonizing them is such a grand idea..."
[22:01] <Dark> "Why do I always travil with psychos?" Horus groans as he starts to step backward "I should have gone alone"
[22:06] <Kite> "No clue... still better than nothing right?" Issac says looking around again as best he can.
[22:09] <@Dorian> As a response, the bandits start spraying the area around you with bullets
[22:12] <@Dorian> Thankfully, none of you are hit. But the fact that the rest of the ones outside of the camp are on the way over, all 60-odd of them, does not look good for your futures.
[22:12] <Kite> In response to the bullets being fired Issac pulls out his assualt rifle before looking at the group. "So... plans?"
[22:13] <dusk> " ....Anyone got something to make a big boom?"
[22:13] <Dark> "Him" I point towards shouting freind as I begin to aim towards the attackers
[22:13] <Spiritcurse> "We smoke these bitches. And with my favourite toy. This should be AWESOME."
[22:16] <Kite> "And what kind of toy is it?"
[22:17] <Spiritcurse> "A rocket launcher - the best way of solving things. Wouldn't you agree?"
[22:19] <Kite> "..." Issac says nothing before laughing a bit. "Just try not to blow up the enslaved people, but otherwise... who am I to stop you?"
[22:20] <dusk> The black haired girl aims her rifle at a short looking raider.
[22:22] <Kite> Issac also begins to aim though he seems to be more interested in seeing a flying rocket.
[22:24] <Spiritcurse> I point the rocket launcher at the largest cluster of bandits I can see while dropping prone.
[22:28] <Dark> I continue aiming, not seemingly that interested in the rocket for some reason
[22:31] <@Dorian> The bandits keep running, and those not toting sawn-offs open fire with horrendous aim. They all miss.
[22:35] <dusk> The black haired girl opens fire on her target.
[22:35] <Kite> Issac shoots off two bullets at some of the nearest bandits.
[22:41] <Spiritcurse> "Aurora Winters. Does the name mean anything? It should do, you scum." Attempting to use my reputation to keep me out of trouble, I don't stop aiming my Plan A.
[22:43] <Dark> Waiting for things to take a direction, Horus continues to aim at the bandits
[22:47] <@Dorian> Again the bandits fire. Again the bandits miss
[22:49] <Kite> Issac realizing that he can't hit from this range continues to aim ahead anyways.
[22:52] <dusk> The black haired girl continues aiming.

[22:53] <Spiritcurse> I continue aiming from my prone position. "You've two seconds left. Surrender, or die slowly. You know I mean it."

[22:56] <@Dorian> Most of the bandits keep running. A few of them, however, take cover. There are more bullets fired, and more misses.
[22:58] <Kite> Isac continues to aim while humming a certain song now stuck in his head.
[22:58] <dusk> The girl with the black hair fires upon her target.
[22:59] <Dark> Taking up a humming of his own, I continue aiming
[23:01] <Spiritcurse> Aware of my low ammo count, I continue aiming.
[23:02] <@Dorian> Bullets are fired. Bullets miss. This is starting to get ridiculous.
[23:03] <dusk> More aiming.
[23:06] <Kite> "I've... I've played this game before." Issac says before he continues to aim while still humming.
[23:12] <Spiritcurse> Unwilling to miss, I focus my aim on the largest group.
[23:12] <Dark> "This could take a while..." I mutter as I keep aiming
[23:13] <@Dorian> Yet more bullets miss spectacularly. They're not very good at this, and the countdown Aurora gave them is up.
[23:16] <Kite> "Well... now what?" Issac says still aiming.
[23:18] <dusk> Black haired girl aims with interest about the impending explosion.
[23:24] <Spiritcurse> I eventually fire, the shot missing my feet. It does, however, leave a rather large crater and a deafening boom.
[23:26] <@Dorian> The explosion consumes and destroys a good three bandts, and wounds about five more.
[23:26] <Kite> "That was rather disappointing..."
[23:26] <Spiritcurse> "That was five seconds. Want to try to last five more? Or just surrender."
[23:27] <Dark> "Never put your hopes on a single rocket" I mutter
[23:30] <Kite> "So... now what?"
[23:30] <dusk> "Got anything bigger?"
[23:32] <Spiritcurse> Silently, I pull a satchel from my bag. It's about the size of my head.
[23:35] <@Dorian> The bandits keep running. One or two of them pull out tubes that look disturbingly like grenade launchers.
[23:35] <Dark> "Times running out guys"
[23:36] <@Dorian> As the men with the launchers fire, their grenades miss. Mostly. One comes within a range such that the explosion very nearly hits one of you.
[23:39] <Kite> "That was close..."
[23:45] <Kite> "Guys... I want to try something... wierd... permission?" Issac says not liking the situation.
[23:46] <Spiritcurse> "I suppose so, sure. What are you going to do - and will it explode?"
[23:47] <Dark> "Do whatever you need to"
[23:47] <Kite> Issac closes his eyes before aiming a bit farther away from him and the bushes before pushing his mana out to the spot and creating a sphere of fire.
[23:49] <@Dorian> As the sphere of flame bursts into life, the bandits all take cover, evidently mildly terrified that they are facing a mage.
[23:50] <Spiritcurse> "I... what... you're a mage? I guess that makes things better. So now do we run?"
[23:51] <Dark> "Nice"

[23:58] <Kite> "This is my plan... we save the prisoners and go into the canyon behind the rocks. From there we only have to worry about htreats from the direction we came from in which if i make a sphere of fire they won't be able to get close to us anyways."

[00:00] <Kite> "Then get to it... this thing won't last forever..." Issac says.

[00:04] <Dark> "Should I go to make sure he dosent blow the prisoners up too?"
[00:06] <duskilyDrawn> Black haired girl is already following trigger happy girl to the town.
[00:06] <Kite> "Have fun." Issac says looking more like he is focusing on the sphere of fire to make sure it doesn't kill everything.
[00:07] <Dark> Rolling my eyes, I head after them
[00:12] <Spiritcurse> After a few minutes of running, I reach the gates of the bandit town. Immediately, I begin looking for any computer terminals, and any way to climb the walls.
[00:13] <Dark> Also looking for usable computers, I move between walls, on the look out for other bandits

[00:18] <Dark> Slipping behind my cover, I watch him with weapon ready
[00:19] <duskilyDrawn> Black haired girl ducks behind cover.
[00:19] <Spiritcurse> Almost quick as the bullet I intend to fire, my pistol's up and aimed towards his head.
[00:22] <@Dorian> "Erm... what?"
[00:22] <Spiritcurse> "I'm not in the mood. And you're not going to win. Do you feel lucky?"
[00:22] <Kite> (Meanwhile back where he was, Issac sighs as he is growing tired from using his mana.)
[00:22] <@Dorian> "Yes?"
[00:23] <Spiritcurse> "Just step aside, now. It'll be much easier. Well, surely for you."
[00:24] <Dark> I groan as I aim, making a "Hurry the frag up" coughing noise
[00:24] <@Dorian> "Huh. Ok, then." He steps to one side, revealing a room full of tied up and heavily beaten slaves.
[00:24] <@Dorian> There is also a computer in the room. It seems to be sending a data stream.
[00:26] <Spiritcurse> "You deal with the slaves. I'm going to find things out - this should be helpful.
[00:27] <Dark> "Let me know if you need help" I grunt, not taking my eyes of the slaver "I'm good at computers"
[00:28] <duskilyDrawn> The girl aims at the slaver, not wanting to take chances.
[00:29] <Dark> I walk over to the slaves, checking them over quickly as I remove whatever bonds they have
[00:29] <Spiritcurse> "It's quite alright, thanks. My mentors taught me a lot. Here we are, in root."
[00:32] <Spiritcurse> "The power's outside, and is full of gasoline. Do you see my plan?"
[00:33] <Dark> "Let me guess" I say, helping the slaves "Make it go boom"
[00:34] <Spiritcurse> "Very, very boom. More boom than most things, in fact. It'll be great, yeah?"
[00:39] <duskilyDrawn> " Let's hurry it up people!"
[00:40] <Spiritcurse> I head outside, following my mental path to the power generator. The pistol still hasn't left my hand, nor the angry scowl my face.
[00:41] <Dark> "Can you tie this guy up to your boom?" I whisper to Aurora, nodding towars the slaver as I lead the slaves out
[00:42] <Spiritcurse> I give a solitary nod, before walking behind the slaver and taking a length of cord from my bag.
[00:45] <@Dorian> You drop the rope on the ground and it slides under the computer
[00:46] <Spiritcurse> After a brief sigh, I level the gun against the back of his head and fire.
[00:47] <Dark> "...."
[00:48] <@Dorian> The man's head disolves into blood, brains, and bone splinters.
[00:48] <Spiritcurse> As his body slumps to the floor, I shake my head sadly, before grabbing my rope and searching him.
[00:49] <Spiritcurse> I pocket his gun and ammo, then continue walking to the generator.

Re: Negima GURPS II: Electric Boogaloo

Post by DorianCreed on Sat Feb 02, 2013 12:27 am

[21:32] <@Dorian> Last session, after nuking a bandit town without any nukes, you ran away from scary things that devastated the remaining bandits, you came across a small camp in the canyons. It was oddly organised, though looking thoroughly run down. No, this didn't happen last session, but it was going to before DC's occurred. We begin just outside this camp, located in a strange clearing in the canyon.
[21:36] <Kite> "So... think anyone's home?" Issac says looking back at the people he is traveling with.
[21:37] <Spiritcurse> "I really hope so. They've got very nice weapons - I'd hate to be shot."
[21:40] <Kite> "So... should we search the place? I'm pretty sure someone is in there."
[21:41] <Dark> "We could do with the supplies"
[21:41] <@Dorian> As you are standing around, two of the plates of scrap move up to reveal the interior of the town: A relatively normal place that seems to extend into some caves in the canyon wall. It is full of people in heavy, concealing cloaks with large, fancy looking assault rifles. Pointed at you.
[21:41] <Dark> "huh"
[21:42] <Spiritcurse> "Someone is in there. I... I can guarantee that. Well armed somebodies."
[21:42] <Kite> "So... I'm going to hide behind the lady NOT being aimed at..." Issac says before inching behind Aurora.
[21:43] <Dark> Glancing towards you, Lorgar falls silent though he is clearly considering following the same methord
[21:43] <Spiritcurse> "Good afternoon, friends?"
[21:45] <Kite> "Um...we come in peace?" Issac says once behind Aurora.
[21:46] <Spiritcurse> "And we're very, very lost."
[21:47] <@Dorian> The men all glance at each other before lowering their weapons. One of them steps forward and beckons to Aurora.
[21:47] <Dark> "Arnt you the popular one"
[21:48] <Spiritcurse> "God, please don't hurt me." I mutter, moving towards the man.
[21:52] <@Dorian> "This way." The man turns, and walks away. He also points out, rather economically, considering he says nothing, that the rest of you need to stay in the town until Aurora returns.

[21:55] <Dark> Shrugging and fiding somewhere he can sit, Lorgar pulls out his small radio and drinks from a small Thermos Bottle

[22:03] <duskilyDrawn> "So.... you guys got any plans for after we get back?"

[22:16] <Dark> "Glourious isnt the word I would go for but I assume so" Lorgar nods, tapping to the music from his radio "Not that thats somthing special"
[22:17] <duskilyDrawn> "You never know, some twist of fate just may keep us together a bit longer than we expect..."
[22:18] <Dark> "In the wasteland twists of fate are rarely good things"
[22:19] <Kite> Issac shrugs as he adjusts himself against the wall. "Maybe... still it would be interesting... and twists of fate aren't exactly rare in life."
[22:20] <Dark> Lorgar gives a dry chuckle as he drinks
[22:24] <Kite> "Drinking? In an unknown location with people that might shoot you?" Issac says after a moment of silence.
[22:25] <Dark> Pausing to raise an eyebrow, Lorgar offers you some "Want a bit? I brew some fiiiiiiine purified water"
[22:26] <Kite> "Ah... okay." He says when he hears that it is water.
[22:26] <Dark> "I keep the heavy stuff for funner times"
[22:29] <Kite> Issac nods before going back to resting.
[22:31] <Dark> At the drop of the talk Lorgar looks back to his radio, tuning it into whatever news he can get
[22:36] <Spiritcurse> I return from the camp, escorted by another man.
[22:38] <Spiritcurse> "We've got one more job. It should be nice fun one - a dangerous one."
[22:39] <Kite> "What kind of job is it?"
[22:39] <Spiritcurse> "Simple recon thing."
[22:39] <duskilyDrawn> "What's the dangerous part?"
[22:40] <Kite> "sorry bout the words dangerous one and simple recon don't match." Issac says agreeing with Mina.
[22:40] <Spiritcurse> "Might be a few attackers."
[22:40] <Spiritcurse> "Might not be simple", I add, after a moment.
[22:40] <duskilyDrawn> "They paying us for this?"
[22:40] <@Dorian> The man nods, "I'll let you get on with it, then." He glances at his squad, and they all disperse into the camp. By this point, the freed slaves have caught up and are sitting in various tents, getting any wound tended to and being provided with water and food.
[22:40] <Dark> "What sort of attacks are we talking about?"
[22:41] <Spiritcurse> "Quite heavily armed. Possibly more than us lot. Not too numerous."
[22:42] <Dark> "Pay?"
[22:43] <Spiritcurse> "Good, as usual. I've worked with this lot before - always very good."
[22:43] <Dark> "I see"
[22:45] <Kite> "Well... I guess." Issac says after a while.
[22:45] <duskilyDrawn> "Why not" Mina says shrugging.
[22:45] <Spiritcurse> "It's eighty-five north. Look around, then get back quick. Maybe a side job."
[22:47] <Kite> "So when do we go?"
[22:47] <Spiritcurse> "As soon as we can."
[22:49] <Dark> SIghin, Lorgar places his radio back into his bag and takes a last swig of his drink before standing and checking the ammo of his guns
[22:49] <Kite> Issac gets up stretching. "Well I'm ready whenever."
[22:50] <Spiritcurse> I stand, coaxing as many metal noises as possible from my gun. "Operator as fuck, right?"
[22:53] <Kite> Issac says nothing not knowing what she means. He does however check over his pistol and assualt rifle.
[22:56] <duskilyDrawn> Mina remains silent, checking ammo and gun, and making sure nothing's been dropped.
[22:59] <Kite> Once done Issac leans against the wall so everyone else can take care of their equipment. Though anyone that looks at him can see he wants to go.
[22:59] <Spiritcurse> "You coming to... mage?" I ask, unsure of the verb here.
[23:01] <Kite> "Well we've just been standing here checking guns. And of course I'm coming with." As he says that he frowns at the word 'mage'.
[23:02] <Dark> Lorgar simply nods
[23:05] <Spiritcurse> "Let's go, and quickly." I set off walking to the north, following my acute sense of direction.
[23:05] <Kite> Issac nods before following after.
[23:06] <Dark> Lorgar falls into place, slipping his flask back into his bag as he goes
[23:07] <Spiritcurse> "Only eighty-five miles left!"
[23:08] <Dark> "We're on a timelimit?"
[23:08] <Kite> "I hope not."
[23:08] <Spiritcurse> "We're not, not really."
[23:10] <Dark> "Fair enough"
[23:13] <Kite> "This is going to take forever..."
[23:13] <Spiritcurse> "It won't take too long."
[23:15] <Kite> "Sure, tell that too me after the eighty five miles."
[23:31] <@Dorian> As the day progresses on and turns into night, it starts to become deathly cold in the wasteland. Unfortunately, you've travelled a good 50 miles at this point, so there's no point in turning back. You're going to need to find shelter.
[23:32] <Spiritcurse> "I've got a nice sleeping bag. What will you lot do?"
[23:35] <Dark> "I've got supplies to look after myself" Lorgar nods "I traval around a lot...but I do so alone usually so I dont have things for you guys"
[23:37] <Kite> "Huh... I'll have to find stuff." Issac says not wanting to use up all his stuff...and lacking a sleepng bag.
[23:38] <duskilyDrawn> "As will I..." Mina says also lacking a sleeping bag.
[23:40] <Dark> Chuckling to himself, Lorgar looks around for a good place to camp
[23:40] <Spiritcurse> I check my map for a good camping spot, or at least a water source.
[23:42] <Kite> After a few seconds of hsaking in the cold Issac finally decides to use his magic to make a nice sized ball of fire in front of him.
[23:44] <Kite> With that there to both warm hit up and light the surrounding area a bit, Issac looks again for shelter.
[23:44] <duskilyDrawn> Looking around for shelter for the night.
[23:44] <Dark> Grunting to himself, Lorgar points towards a small cave slightly to the east "There"
[23:44] <Spiritcurse> "Small cave, this way some" I say, pointing East.
[23:46] <Kite> Issac nods before walking towards the cave the ball of fire following afterwards.
[23:46] <Spiritcurse> I follow, keeping an eye out for occupants of said cave.
[23:47] <Dark> Lorgar clicks the safty from his gun just incase
[23:48] <Kite> Issac is simply happy he's not so cold right now.
[23:50] <Kite> Still after a moment Issac begins to look around as well.
[23:50] <duskilyDrawn> Mina looks around for anything hostile.
[00:22] <Dark> As you all enter the cave, Lorgar claims a place by the entrance and sets up a small tent there. Placing it so he can keep an eye on the outside without being overly visable he takes watch for the night from within the warmth of his personal tent
[00:23] <Spiritcurse> I move deeper into the tent, place a small device from my belt on the ground, and curl up to my guns to sleep.
[00:26] <Kite> Issac finds a nice wall to lean against before dismissing the fireball.
[00:26] <duskilyDrawn> Mina sits at a soft enough section of wall.
[00:27] <@Dorian> After making sure everything ISN'T trying to kill you (this is post-apocalyptic Japan, not anytime-ever Australia), you settle down for the night, to resume your travels in the morning.
[00:27] <@Dorian> [SESSION END]

So a talk me and dark had in character after a bit of silliness. I like how the different character personalities make the conversation flow.

Ages: Issac: 18-20 (somewhere in there)/ Lorgar: 28-31 (somewhere in there)

http://pastebin.com/62nnHeNF

So if you have time or you just get bored... Read it... we had fun with it. xD

Re: Negima GURPS II: Electric Boogaloo

[21:25] <@Dorian> Last session, you set off on a recon mission for some people that Aurora apparently knows or something, then promptly proceeded to walk about 50 miles without asking if they had a vehicle they could provide or anything. Strange people. Anyhow, you're now in a cave, it's morning, and you're all waking up after a slightly bad night's sleep.
[21:28] <duskilyDrawn> Mia yawns and cracks her back," I am so getting a sleeping bag or something next chance I get..."
[21:29] <Dark> Lorgar looks up from where he has packed his tent away "morning"
[21:29] <Spiritcurse> "I slept with my gun. Oh, not that way, of course." I reply, climbing out of my sniper rifle's bag. "Is very comfy".
[21:29] <@Kite> Issac nods as he gets up rubbing his eyes.
[21:33] <@Kite> "So... continue the march?" Issac asks once he has his stuff ready.
[21:34] <@Dorian> The sun is still low in the sky, and it looks like it's going to be a cold day. Unfortunate, then, that you need to find someone who has been outside for some few days.
[21:34] <Spiritcurse> "Indeed. Time to leave."
[21:35] <@Kite> "Well then lead the way."
[21:36] <Spiritcurse> I stand and follow the same path as before, murmuring something to my gun and brushing the trigger.
[21:36] <Dark> Lorgar falls into line in silence
[21:37] <@Kite> Issac mutters something before he goes along with a small frown.
[21:39] <duskilyDrawn> Mia follows all the same.
[21:41] <@Dorian> As you carry on through the wasteland, the bleak wasteland provides little to look at, although much in the way of danger.
[21:41] <duskilyDrawn> Mina looks around, trying to make sure nothing's out of the ordinary....
[21:42] <Dark> "Times like these make me consider playing my radio as I walk" Lorgar mutters
[21:45] <@Kite> "I spy with my little eyes something crumbled, old, and alone."
[21:45] <Spiritcurse> "Is it your momma?"
[21:45] <Dark> "My mams here?"
[21:46] <duskilyDrawn> "Is it a trap?"
[21:46] <@Kite> Issac rolls his eyes before pointing to the shack in the distance.
[21:46] <Dark> "c-c-c-c-combo breaker"
[21:46] <Spiritcurse> "All three could be correct."
[21:49] <@Kite> Issac says nothing as he begins to walk towards the shack.
[21:50] <duskilyDrawn> Mina hesitates, takes another look around, then grabs her gun and follows.
[21:50] <Dark> Chuckling, Lorgar follows as he slips his gun back into a ready position
[21:52] <@Kite> Issac pulls out his assualt rifle as well.
[21:53] <Spiritcurse> I pull out my sniper rifle and ensure it's loaded. "Soon, my pretty, soon." I mutter.
[21:56] <@Dorian> As you walk up to the shack, you realise that it's probably inhabited. The slight light behind one of the boarded-up windows is kind of a give away.
[21:58] <duskilyDrawn> "Anyone else think this might be a bad idea?"
[21:58] <@Kite> "Well it's not like we will just walk up and knock on the door."
[21:58] <Spiritcurse> "This'll end so well."
[21:59] <duskilyDrawn> "We're not even sure if whoever's in there is particularly hostile...."
[21:59] <Dark> Lorgar flicks the safty off his gun "Many types of people live out here in the wasteland shacks. Some are nice guys...more are bad. Yet the nice guys can be very useful"
[22:00] <@Kite> "So... that stills leaves the question on how to get their attention... preferably without getting shot."
[22:01] <Dark> "Could always just knock nicely"
[22:01] <Spiritcurse> I silently pull several kilograms of explosives from my pack.
[22:01] <@Kite> "Yeah um no... this isn't the time for explosives."
[22:01] <duskilyDrawn> Mina looks to the triggerhappy lady," No no, lets send her up with the boom stuff and let her knock."
[22:01] <Dark> "That comes later"
[22:01] <Spiritcurse> "Oh god, so much heresy."
[22:10] <@Kite> "So um... we just going to stand here or what?"
[22:11] <duskilyDrawn> "Perhaps we draw straws to see who knocks, and everyone else covers them?"
[22:12] <@Kite> "I'm game for that."
[22:16] <Spiritcurse> I sigh, then walk up to the door. A flying kick should suffice.
[22:17] <@Dorian> As you approach the door, you realise the frame has no door. It's already been kicked in.
[22:17] <Spiritcurse> I land after my kick, feeling slightly upset at wasting a perfectly good attack.
[22:22] <Spiritcurse> "It's perfectly safe".
[22:23] <duskilyDrawn> Mina waits for the sound of gunshots due to tempting fate....
[22:26] <Dark> Lorgar gives a grunt before walking forwards, gun back to a nutral position "Always so rash"
[22:26] <@Kite> Issac walks forward after Lorgar.
[22:29] <duskilyDrawn> Mina looks around one last time, sighs, and follows yet again.
[22:29] <@Dorian> There is a distinct click as a large bore handgun is cocked and placed against someone's head. Probably at the back of the group. Namely Aurora.
[22:31] <@Kite> "Huh..."
[22:32] <@Kite> "This is bad..."
[22:32] <duskilyDrawn> "Less guns than I expected...."
[22:33] <Dark> "What did I say about rash" Lorgar sighs as he turns, raising his own gun towards the target
[22:34] <@Dorian> As you level your gun, you see before you someone in a heavily armoured flight suit, with a full head helmet and what appears to be a folding handgun.
[22:34] <Spiritcurse> I relax, looking fully in control of the situation. Were it not for the aforementioned handgun, this may even be believable.
[22:35] <@Dorian> "Nobody moves and nobody dies." A heavily modulated voice sounds from the helmet.
[22:35] <Dark> "Hey" Lorgar nods "We dont mean any harm so there is no need for harm to be caused. Lets talk"
[22:35] <@Kite> "Talking is good."
[22:37] <@Dorian> "Then talk, but I'm not lowering the gun."
[22:39] <Dark> "only fair I dont then" Lorgar offers a shrug and a none hostile smile "We are not hear to threaten you in anyway. We are on the hunt for somthing and saw this hut standing in the middle of the wasteland. Curiostiy got the best of some of us and we wanted to check everything was ok. Seems your doing fine"
[22:39] <@Dorian> "What were you looking for?"
[22:45] <@Kite> Issac frowns not really remembering the details.
[22:51] <@Kite> "Well, we were on a simple Recon job... and we are about three miles from our destination... give or take a mile..." Issac says after a biit of thinking.
[22:52] <Dark> "Aye" lorgar nods "And as I said, saw your hut way out here and wanted to check"

[22:56] <@Kite> "Awesome, so then you put down the gun and we all become friends?" Issac says slightly hopefully.
[22:57] <@Dorian> "Not yet."
[22:58] <@Kite> "Well I tried." Issac says to Aurora.
[22:58] <Spiritcurse> "I'm sure I'll be fine soon, right?"
[23:01] <@Kite> "Hopefully." Issac says before turning to the man. "So what do we need to do to get to that point?"
[23:02] <@Dorian> "Prove who you are. Who sent you?"
[23:04] <Spiritcurse> "Mercenary group. Captain what's-his-name."
[23:05] <@Dorian> The voice turns hopefull. "Describe this mercenary group."
[23:07] <Spiritcurse> "Nice tech and big heavy robes."
[23:08] <@Dorian> The gun lowers, folds in, and is holstered. "Then we are friends. For now, at least."
[23:08] <@Kite> "Well that's a nice start."
[23:08] <Dark> Lorgar pauses for a second, glancing to his companions to see their opinion before lowering his own gun
[23:09] <@Dorian> The figure reaches up and removes, as it turns out, her helmet, revealing short red hair cut into a bob and a not at all displeasing face to look at. "Wing Commander Jane Shepard. Nice to meet you."
[23:10] <@Kite> "Huh..."
[23:11] <Spiritcurse> I nod, and relinquish my grip on my own gun.
[23:13] <@Dorian> "So. Who are all you, then?"
[23:14] <Dark> "Lorgar" He sighs, storing his gun back onto his back and taking a drink from his container
[23:16] <@Kite> "My name is Issac."
[23:18] <duskilyDrawn> "Mina"
[23:19] <Spiritcurse> "Aurora Winters".
[23:19] <@Dorian> Shepard looks around, "THE Aurora Winters? I've heard the stories about you. They true?"
[23:20] <Spiritcurse> "Most, if not all of them, yes. Except, well, THAT one."
[23:21] <@Dorian> "Figured as much. There's no way anyone could possibly fit that many... well, better to not mention it, yeah?"
[23:22] <Spiritcurse> "Yes, that wasn't me." I reply with a grin.
[23:23] <Dark> Lorgar seems to have lost interest in the talk as he sits on a rock and begins to check his gun's ammunition
[23:24] <@Kite> Issac just kinds of stands there swaying side to side.
[23:26] <@Dorian> "You lot seem tired. Look, let's rest up here for a bit, then carry on. I need to find some friends of mine."
[23:27] <@Kite> "That sounds good."
[23:31] <@Dorian> [SESSION BREAK]

Re: Negima GURPS II: Electric Boogaloo

Post by DorianCreed on Sat Mar 23, 2013 1:11 am

[21:04] <@Dorian> Last session, you went looking for something for someone and found a strange person calling themselves Wing Commander Shepard (who you'll never be better than even if you can be strong like a Krogan and run like a Leopard). And then you talked for some time. We start again a little after, as you all are properly rested up.
[21:05] <Spirit> "So, where we off now? Is this contract completed?"
[21:06] <@Dorian> "Not yet. We still need to find the rest of my Wing."
[21:07] <dusk> "And where would they be?"
[21:07] <Spirit> "Have they any comms?"
[21:09] <+Kite> Issac says nothing content to just sit there.
[21:09] <@Dorian> "They're in the hands of the people who attacked us - probably captured alive and being tortured." She seems to shudder slightly at this thought. "No comms, unfortunately."
[21:10] <Spirit> "Where were they last seen?"
[21:11] <@Dorian> "North of here, approximately two klicks."
[21:11] <Dark> "Numbers?"
[21:12] <@Dorian> "Not sure, but they're Remnant, so they severly out gun us."
[21:12] <Spirit> "So, not too far away then. You coming with us?"
[21:12] <Dark> Lorgar simply grunts
[21:12] <@Dorian> "You implying I wouldn't?"
[21:14] <Dark> I was grunting at the mention of the Remnant. What you do and dont is your own buisness"
[21:14] <Spirit> "Let's get moving then. Unless there's anything here."
[21:16] <@Dorian> Shepard turns to Lorgar, "Do you even know who the Remnant are?"
[21:18] <Dark> Lorgar shrugs "Sounds like a name. Group names tend to be things I avoid contact with"
[21:22] <+Kite> Issac waits for some clearification wanting to know more baout the group.
[21:23] <Spirit> I nod, trying to remember an encounter with the group.
[21:24] <@Dorian> "Well, then, you have no reason to harumph. If you don't know anything, you can shut up and deal with it." Shepard nods, and starts to check her gun and armour.
[21:25] <+Kite> Issac sighs before waiting for the group to be get done getting prepared.
[21:25] <Dark> Lorgar simply raises an eyebrow with a touch of amusment
[21:26] <dusk> Mina checks her gun, to make sure it hasn't locked up in rust by now.
[21:29] <@Dorian> "We all ready?"
[21:30] <+Kite> "I am."
[21:30] <dusk> "Same here."
[21:30] <Dark> "I'll go where needed"
[21:32] <Spirit> I nod in what might almost be described as fear.
[21:36] <@Dorian> "Alright, then. Away we go." Shepard sighs, and heads out towards the location she mentioned
[21:37] <+Kite> Issac gets up before following.
[21:38] <Spirit> I nod, devote several minutes to reloading and checking my guns, then follow.
[21:38] <Dark> Checking his gun and taking a swig from his water, Lorgar follows
[21:39] <dusk> Mina follows, wondering just what kind of rediculous situation they're gonna find themselves in this time....
[21:48] <@Dorian> About an hour later, you've all managed to get to a position on a ridge overlooking a large plain. In the middle of the plain is a high-tech-looking compound, with guards patroling the perimiter.
[21:50] <Spirit> Laid on my drag bag, I begin to assemble my sniper rifle. "Do we have a plan?"
[21:52] <+Kite> "Fight... win." Issac says reciting the plan of the highlander.
[21:53] <dusk> "Yeah, we'll remember you fondly too..."
[21:53] <Spirit> "So, this can only end well."
[21:54] *** Dark quit (Quit: HydraIRC -> http://www.hydrairc.com <- The professional IRC Client Very Happy)
[21:56] <+Kite> Issac likes around for a large enough stick to lead the charge.
[21:57] <dusk> "Can anyone sneak in, make something important explode, and make it look like an accident?"
[21:57] <Spirit> "I was born for that."
[21:58] <@Dorian> "You realise we're trying to sneak in and out without being noticed, right?"
[21:59] <+Kite> "I know... just talking gibberish since I hate it being really quiet." Issac says now holding a stick.
[21:59] <dusk> "So, is there a plan for that?"
[22:00] <Spirit> "I can snipe some guards. Then you take their uniforms."
[22:00] *** Dark (Dark@sux-DFC12BC4.cable.virginmedia.com) joined
[22:00] <dusk> " And they wouldn't notice people just falling over like that?"
[22:01] <Spirit> "I'm a good sniper."
[22:03] <Dark> "Can you see any alarm boxes they will run to should they notice?"
[22:09] <Spirit> "Quite a few, my friend."
[22:10] <Dark> "Any way you can take them out first?" Lorgar's eyes narrow towards the base "Cut an area off at a time then silance it before going to the next"
[22:11] <dusk> "Seems risky...."
[22:11] <Spirit> "Oh, it would be my pleasure." I begin aiming for one, preferably one who's death would go unnoticed.
[22:33] <Spirit> After several seconds, I fire one shot. It brings him to his knees, and I curse under my breath.
[22:35] <Dark> Lorgar braces himself, waiting for somthing to happen from the shot and glancing to you
[22:35] <@Dorian> The man starts to drag himself towards one of the alarm boxes
[22:35] <Spirit> I quickly re-aim, and loose another bullet.
[22:39] <Spirit> This one drops him for good - bleeding heavily, and stopped moving.
[22:43] <+Kite> "And... that's a game over."
[22:44] <Dark> "Still not completly dead"
[22:45] <+Kite> "Bleeding like that while unconcious?" Issac says lookign at him. "He might as well be..."
[22:47] <@Dorian> Shepard stands up, though still crouched, "Alright, time to move in." She points to Issac and Mina, "You two, with me. Other two, ranged cover. Come on, let's move!"
[22:47] <+Kite> Issace nods assualt rifle in hand.
[22:48] <Spirit> "I'm ready to go." I pack up my rifle, drawing a pistol instead.
[22:48] <dusk> Mina nods in understanding.
[22:49] <Dark> Lorgar holds up is Steyr and simply nods, resting it to aim forwards
[22:51] <@Dorian> Shepard starts to move towards the camp, signalling for the ranged cover group to circle around and take the rear of the camp, all puns intended.
[22:52] <Dark> Keeping low and his weapon high, Lorgar begins to move
[22:52] <dusk> Mina follows the Shepard, weapon ready.
[22:52] <Spirit> I change my movement, adopting a stealthy posture, and fully ready to make a swift strike into the rear.
[22:53] <+Kite> Issac moves beside her seemign to find something just the slightest bit funny.
[22:55] <@Dorian> Shepard draws her pistol and heads for the front of the compound, in a seemingly determined manner.
[22:58] <+Kite> "Through the front door?" Felix asks while following her.
[23:00] <Spirit> Pausing to change into my victim's clothes, I head for the back door.
[23:05] <@Dorian> "Of course." Shepard says, and shoots the two guards on the gate without hesitation, pausing only to double-tap the guard least shot in the face.
[23:06] <+Kite> "Huh... okay." Issac says with a shrug.
[23:06] <dusk> "This is subtle."
[23:07] <@Dorian> "Of course it is. This way, the alarm won't sound until we're gone, now COME ON!"
[23:07] <+Kite> Issac starts to move a little faster as she says that.
[23:08] <Spirit> I simply open the back door, nodding to the guard there.
[23:08] <dusk> Mina follows suite with the going quicker thing, eyes peeled for hostiles.
[23:09] <@Dorian> Shepard begins to head for a specific building in the compound, whilst the guard at the back nods back at Aurora and gets on with what he was doing, which is reading a good book.
[23:10] <Spirit> I head for a computer terminal, preferably one with a chair, and nobody watching it.
[23:14] <+Kite> Issac looks around for anything that looks somewhat important or shiny.
[23:15] <Dark> From his place outside, Lorgar starts playing his radio quietly as he keeps watching
[23:16] <@Dorian> There's a nice one that seems to have access to quite a few of the security cameras
[23:16] <Spirit> I sit at the terminal, and begin to work.
[23:17] <dusk> Mina looks around for shiny things and trouble, having a sinking feeling about this.
[23:22] <@Dorian> Mina and Issac notice nothing shiny or trouble-y, as that's all on the other side of the camp at the moment, but do notice that Shepard seems to have a very good idea of where to go.
[23:23] <+Kite> Issac shrugs before he continues to follow her still looking around however.
[23:24] <dusk> Mina does the same.
[23:26] <Dark> Lorgar is happily humming to himself from his lone watch
[23:27] <Dark> "Wait a second..." he frowns as he raises an eyebrow "How do they expect me to warn them anyway...?"
[23:30] <Spirit> I complete my hacking, and sit back from the keyboard. Now to wait.
[23:33] <+Kite> "I see a guard." Issac says pointing in his direction as he moves towards a building.
[23:36] <+Kite> With that Issac begins to take aim at him.
[23:36] <@Dorian> Shepard places a hand on Issacs gun. "Wait. Not here, we'll be spotted."
[23:38] <+Kite> "Then what do we do?"
[23:47] <@Dorian> "Wait. See what he;s doing."
[23:49] <+Kite> Issac frowns before doing just that,
[23:52] <@Dorian> The guard enters a building and, after a minute or two, exits again, with two prisoners in tow, each wearing a uniform not dissimmilar to Shepard's
[23:52] <+Kite> "So... that might be what we are looking for..."
[23:54] <dusk> "What now?"
[23:55] <Dark> "Come on guys..." Lorgar mutters, watching the guard leave with the prisoners and resisting the urge to act
[23:55] <+Kite> "Do we follow him? Go into the building once he is gone?"
[23:56] <dusk> "Knock him out and get everyone in there out of here?"
[23:56] <@Dorian> The guard proceeds to a building near the back of the camp, taking the prisoner's into it.
[23:59] <+Kite> "It's your call." Issac says to Shepard waiting for her to say something.
[00:00] <@Dorian> "Into the building." Shepard says, before moving towards it.
[00:01] <+Kite> Issac follows wordlessly.
[00:03] <Dark> Lorgar watches you go through the scope on his gun, muttering somthing under his breath
[00:06] <@Dorian> Shepard enters the building, pausing to examine the scene within.
[00:07] <+Kite> Issac takes a look around to look for danger.
[00:07] <Spirit> Sat on a computer chair, with a half empty electrolaser, I sit looking over the unconcious body of a guard. The prisoners are stood before me, wordlessly.
[00:09] <dusk> Mina looks around inside, having followed the commander.
[00:11] <+Kite> "Well this is lovely."
[00:11] <@Dorian> "Indeed it is."
[00:13] <Spirit> "This way's much faster."
[00:14] <+Kite> "Seems so."
[00:15] <@Dorian> Shepard walks over to her men and begins talking with them at some length in hushed tones, before hitting a button on her wrist plate.
[00:15] <dusk> "So, we have an escape plan here?"
[00:16] <Spirit> "Put cuffs on, I'll walk you out." I gesture towards my stolen guard's helmet. "He'll remember nowt."
[00:16] <Spirit> I kneel beside the unconcious guard and open my 'first aid kit'. Roughly none of it is medical.
[00:16] <@Dorian> Shepard turns around. "I've set up an extraction. We can get out and back to the base in minutes.
[00:17] <+Kite> "I like the extraction idea better."
[00:18] <dusk> "Same here."
[00:19] <Spirit> "That works fine for me." I apply a small patch to the neck of the guard.
[00:22] <+Kite> "That's not how you heal things..."
[00:23] <Spirit> "He'll be fine in the morning."
[00:24] <+Kite> Issac looks down at the guard before shrugging.
[00:30] <@Dorian> Shepard nods, "Alright, then let's get out of here. We need to be approximately where your friend is in two minutes."
[00:30] <+Kite> "So... just run as fast as possible?"
[00:31] <@Dorian> "Yes."
[00:32] <Spirit> I begin to run, donning my stolen helmet.
[00:32] <+Kite> Issac nods before doing the same minus the helmet.
[00:37] <@Dorian> Shepard grins and runs after the two of you, followed by her men.
[00:38] <dusk> Mina runs as well, following the others.
[00:38] <Dark> "The hell are they doing in there..."
[00:42] <@Dorian> As you start to run, the landscape starts to vibrate
[00:47] <Dark> "...oh what now...?"
[00:49] <@Dorian> And as it does so, a large ship, shaped somewhat like a predatory bird, floats out of the sky with no visible means of support and hovers near Lorgar with just enough room to get into it from the ground. From the inside, you can hear an inspirational piece of classical music playing.
[00:49] <dusk> "Oh you cannot be serious...."
[00:49] <Spirit> "Well, that seems useful."
[00:49] <+Kite> "Is that the extraction team?"
[00:49] <@Dorian> "Yes, it is.
[00:49] <@Dorian> Now, get in the damn Hawk!"
[00:50] <@Dorian> Shepard begins to run for the ship, her men speeding up as well.
[00:50] <Dark> Lorgar rolls to what cover he can, silent with a hissed curse
[00:50] <dusk> Mina quickens her pace to keep up.
[00:51] <Spirit> I sprint to the hawk, only somewhat burdened by half a dozen guns.
[00:54] <+Kite> Issac continues to run.
[01:07] <@Dorian> At the last second before take off, you all manage to just about get on to the ship
[01:07] <@Dorian> Finally
[01:08] <@Dorian> Despite space time being distorted into the few seconds taking well over ten minutes, somehow.
[01:08] <Spirit> I remove my helmet, and look for a private space in which to change.
[01:08] <@Dorian> [SESSION BREAK]
