Yeah for my converted NURGLE chaos lord

His weapon is made from a krut arm but looks like a funky reaper stick

Anything within 10 inchs that have a 40Mm base or 20mm that is organic (not robots shitz)
can be pulled towards the char and for every 2 inchs he can fire his bolter
But if the char wants to 'hook' a unit and bring it towards him he has to roll a 5 or 6.
You can 'hook' onto larger units but the char gets pulled towards them and doesnt get to attack or shoot his bolter

How far do they get moved? Just 2"? Personally, I'd have it at d6".

I do too, but you've got to keep it realistic.

Generally, a character should excel in one area - ranged, close combat, other (stealth, speed, defense, whatever), and should have clear weaknesses in the others. For example, Abbadon. Anyone will tell you he's a close combat thing. The entire tau race (not army, for you picky bastards out there) are made for long range, and suck at the others. Dark eldar - speed.

And more than anything, make sure you're comparable stat-wise to other things. If needs be, it's possible to generate a simple formula for points, or just use this, for the sheer epicness.

Indeed, I have seen this article, tis good! But yes, I agree characters need to be balanced in some way, even though they might be REALLY unfair in their strength but can be killed, not easily but easier in their weakness, for instance Abbadon is virtually unkillable/defeatable but at range can be killed easier than in combat

And usually, psykers are weak at close combat - as are anything with a powerful gun. Usually.
