Nail Varnish Remover I have proven to only strip metal models. Nitromors is the best for stripping paint. Dip in for 10 seconds then scrub with a toothbrush.

Don't use nail polish remover for plastic, It just melts to fuck

For plastic, (id recommend testing this) my old battletech models i used brake fluid (no fucking joke)

however i do know b/tech models are made of nigh indestructible plastic, its stupid how tough the plastic was they used.
