Comments and criticism welcome.

I'll save my comments until I get at least one codex that can combat spess mareens on less skewed grounds. All I can say is that you lack mass attacking weapons - 1500 points allows for roughly 250 guardsmen, and you'd struggle to take that many down.

Just Guardsmen? Swap the Infernus Pistols for Hand Flamers, then.

Wise move. Even so, you get that close, you're getting roughly 600 lasgun shots, but it's cool. Only actually 100 wounds, statistically. Of course, the blood angles "reroll every-fuckin'-thing" special rule means you'll only actually take 1 casualty.

Not armour saves. But I will deep strike. Followed by massed templates. Any tanks?

Tough choice. Personally, I'd just infantry spam. And remember it's not 1 squad of 600, it's 30 squads of 20. There won't be much free table left.

That ain't really much of a problem tbh bout numbers-its just where you deploy your self-if you went and had your army in loads of different spots that might be bad but if you had the Deepstrikers in one side of the table it's good and even if you don't wreck the tank but cripple it it puts something between you and them.

I wouldn't be using a tank. I'd spread out to ensure you couldn't deep strike everywhere, and I knew where you'd be. I'd then just rapid fire with everybody at once.

Hmmm, nasty. Still, Baal Predators with Flamestorm cannon and Heavy Flamers would be nice.

True, that would hurt. Even so, no more 40k for me after this game against Darkness's Necrons - I need my money for Bladcaster, and my back won't support GURPS and two wargames. Oh, a guy at Fanboy asked if we'd run and teach Bladecaster to them sometime, so that's good. A little exposure is nice, and it means we've got a few potential customers already. Just need some nice printed copies, anybody got any ideas for how we're going to do that?

We're gonna need some capital. I can't find places willing to sell us around 50 printed booklets for a decent price, although I've found a place that'll print 500 for less than £500.

For a trial run, this'll do, it can print us 25 12 page booklets for £60, all A4. Not too bad, really. Especially considering that the books are currently 7 pages long, not counting a front and back cover, that leaves us a good 3 sides of A4 for fluff and pictures in each book. So we can have a saleable product for £240, and we'll get 25 of each army book, and 25 rulebooks. Alternatively, if we include 2 of the army books - probably undead and elves - it'll cost £109 for 25 24 pages booklets, which is just enough to fit the rules and 2 army books in, with some fluff and pictures. Sell each one for at least £5 and we turn a profit, sell them for £10 and I'll be an ecstatic panda.

you can't honestly know where I might land my forces in (less your a Psyker then i guess Commissars dispise you ) i could put all my forces on one side or I could land most of them on one side and leave a small but rough unit on the other or i could land right in the middle of it all

With 300 guardsmen, and the fact that you can't deep strike within 1" of an enemy model, I can cover 300 x (pi x 1.5^2) square inches of the table. That's bigger than most tables. I can move fast enough to block the entire board within 24" of my deployment zone.

In that case, I'll go for ALL TANKS, ALL THE TIME. Take a few Lemon Russes, a few Hellhounds, some Chimeras with my troops in, give them lascannons, put my HQ psyker in a Chimera, and rely on him to blast everything. To round it all off, a Deathstrike missile launcher and a Shadowsword.

Why not Manticore?

I like the idea of firing a nuke in a 1000 point game - roughly a skirmish.

1500 point GK list. I currently have around 750 points without messing around with guard guys. It'll cost around £50 for me to finish it. And that's another 10 models. Damn, they cost a lot of points.
