Mechanius Lord of Robotics

I basically made a Iron Lords Warsmith on robot chicken (Based on the mechanostriders from WoW) and gave him a bit of story

There was a bloody and brutal siege at the fortress of Valhellen of the Iron Warriors, the imperial forces pounded their wall night and day, giving no quarter and slaughtering many chaos marines and burning all of the work of the Dark Mechanicus, for this was a Dark Mechanicus world and the Iron Warriors had sworn to protect them in return for vehicles and siege weaponry.

As the battle went on, one of the Iron Warrior Warsmith locked himself away in his workshop for days on end. He had been studying deeply in the previous years into the art of the Dark Mechanicus and all that could be heard from the room was the sounds of his warhammer striking his anvil, and the sounds of some fearsome beast roaring from the room. His men pounded on his door, begging for him to come out, some thought he had gone mad, finally succumbed to the pull of the dark gods and had been changed in ways unimaginable. Others thought he had had a revelation, others simply thought he was working on a masterpiece.

One night the working stopped, the great furnaces of his workshop fell silent and the fortress fell silent with fear as not a sound could be heard from the room, the clanking, the whirring, the screaming all stopped suddenly and the men of the warsmith held their breath as they waited to know the fate of their master. Suddenly all hell broke loose in his chamber, the great iron doors of the workshop fell open and a great mechanical beast broke loose, screeching so loudly that acolytes fell to the ground, clutching their ears in pain and the ranks of imperial guardsmen shuddered in fear, what had the Warriors unleashed in their desperation?

There he sat, upon the creation, axe gleaming and meltagun smoking as he cackled fanatically, the beasts head turned to stare at the groups of Iron Warriors, it's eyes boring into them as if trying to see into their very souls, for once the dark warriors felt fear. From upon his dread steed, the warsmith proclaimed

"I am Mechanius Lord of Robotics; men of iron bow down and lay allegiance to me now or feel the metal of my axe and the burn of my gun! SWEAR NOW!"

The Iron Warriors bowed down to him and swore allegiance, he them thundered out of the room, the sound of the steeds claws as they stormed through the fortress to the giant doors that led to the fortress, they opened immediately for him and he launched out of the fortress and into the ranks of quaking imperial guard. He slaughtered thousand upon thousand of guardsmen until each and every one of them had been obliterated by himself or the cannons of his men and titans.

After the slaughter he gave the Mechanicus two options, come with him to storm the worlds and shake the planets or to stay on the desolate rock left by the fire and storm of iron that had taken place. Soon after he and his men left in tow with the Mechanicus in giant ships of Iron to take them across the galaxy, storming worlds and laying waste to cities, he was last seen working with Huron Blackheart, lending him much needed firepower in the form of his vast mobile titan legions at the siege of Karracsh V.

Well, thats the rough idea of it, still ragged around the edges but I’m going to work on it, I basically used the Huron idea so that I could use some Iron Warrior titans in Apoc and have a reason for doing to other that just saying, meh, I can do what I like. Plus, I like making up stories for my characters!

Not bad, not bad at all. Are you going to write stats for it, and post a picture for us as well?

Yea, will do, not quite finished painting it yet and will post some stats up just as soon as I can be bothered to make them, had some ideas but not written a statsheet yet ^_^

This will be damn awesome. Though my assassin is a D&D/WH fantasy model, and your chicken is 40k. Meh, I nearly ended up fighting lizardmen with dark eldar.

Maybie I could work some sort of warsmith/chaos machine guy into Inquisitor... the cogs in my mind are turning, slowly, slowly with ideas that will probably never be done but entertain me for a breif time...

Meh, might look awesome. Maybe use some stuff from the other shop for armour, and the bits you'll get from splitting the money with me to make a cool thing of death.

That would look good, I need to jazz the warsmith up a bit, again warmachine parts should looks awseome for him!

Aye, especially if you want a heavy armour guy. I'm after a sniper/spy.

Yea, could do with something to bulk up his legs and crotch, maybie a grenade... hmmm....

Hopefully, should have him finished soon, just need the stuff and then the drive to paint and away I go!

I think I would like those very much, good use as ornaments and spiky railings on the butresses!
