Nuns and Orphans
Hi Im new to this forum but I know most of you on it anyway if you dont know me Im the curly haired dude who always wears slipknot shirts but anyways on with my idea.
Basically whenever I have played a game when theres an epic HQ duel going on when someone dies an awesome story is thought up and all of the stories relate to the death of a Nun and some orphans which is pretty funny. But in my game the objective is to actually kill the Nun and the orphans heres how it goes.
You will need :-
Warring armies preferably two for most awesome experience can be any army but must be 40k,
1 converted nun, I think its easy to convert from a lotr model has to be a woman in black and white and unarmed for extra authenticity add the weird white box on her head,
10 converted orphans, these can be male or female and are easiest to convert from either hobbits from lotr or those weird midget snipers from imperial guard. These can look however you want them but must look ragged and carry a dagger,
Whatever terrain you want it would be best to do shanty town because of awesome cover and link to the orphans,
There is no point limit to the armies but if you go into apocalypse there must be an extra nun squad for each 1000 points used but only one squad if not playing apocalypse,
The Nun is an independent character but may not leave the orphan squad unless killed in close combat the user cannot allocate wounds on her unless she is the only member left,
Objective:-
Its simple kill the Nun and orphans squad sounds simple right? Wrong the squad itself cannot be targeted on purpose, for example you cant declare im going to attack the nun squad because of the special rule "Im Guarded By Jebus So Fuck You Bitch." As you can tell this rule stops players targeting the squad but then you say how the fuck do I kill the Nun squad shit for brains? Well you have to kill them by accident as in a blast template misses and inflicts damage or a nearby vehicle explodes and the squad take impact. Also you cannot simply place a template next to the squad and hope it scatters into them you still have to target enemy models with the templates and hope it hits them from there. Now to decide who controls them, every full turn players roll off to determine who gains control of the squad for the rest of the full turn. That player may do whatever they want with the squad except suicide obviously they can choose to shoot enemies including their own men but I don't see why, they can charge into close combat which i'll explain later and of course move normally. The squad cannot deepstrike or be kept in reserve, the squads deployment zone is that of the player who is controlling them but they can infiltrate due to the special rule "Release The Orphans" which I just made up. The squad cannot outflank and are presumed fearless because of the Nuns inspiring aura. Nobody can assault the squad unless the Nun squad assaults you and in the case of a multiple combat you cannot pick the Nun squad over an enemy squad. The Nun squad can be pinned but I don't think you'll ever get the chance unless a pinning barrage goes awry but automatically get up next turn. The Nun squad cannot be commanded to go to ground by the Nuns special rule "Fuck Ive Got A Bad Back." The squad is immune to psychic abilities that means NO spawning Tom and cannot be captured by anyone. Difficult and Dangerous terrain tests are taken as normal. The Nun is immune to instant Death.
Winning Conditions:-
To win the game you must either kill the Nun squad, Kill the opposing team with the rules of annihilation (victory points are negated) or in the case of fighting necrons make the necron opponent phase out.
Profiles:-
The Nun
Wargear - Uber fists and Skufia
Special Rules - Fuck Ive Got A Bad Back
The Nun and her squad cannot be commanded to go to ground the only time the squad ever goes to ground is in the event of being pinned.
Inspiring Aura
The Nun and her squad are fearless and also do not suffer the usual wounds inflicted in the event of losing a close combat.
Im Guarded By Jebus So Fuck You Bitch
The Nun and her squad can never be targeted by anyone on purpose her and the squad can only be hurt in close combat or any accidental means.
Skufia
The Skufia projects a burning shield upon her and her squads bodies this means they cannot be captured and whenever wounds are inflicted in close combat an equal amount of strength 3 hits are inflicted on the attackers similar to the necron lord lightning arc ability.
Uber fists
The normally gentle hands of a Nun are transformed into glowing blue meat pounders which ignore normal armour saves. The Uber fists can also fire a S 7 AP 2 blast 1 hit with an unlimited range and does not require a line of sight this can only be used if the squad has not moved that turn. When rolling to scatter use 1D6 rather than 2D6.
Harsh Discipline
The Nun can inflict harsh cruelty on one of her orphans by taking a casualty in exchange for either two abilities :-
A vehicle in close combat automatically takes a glancing hit this includes walkers,
Or an auto hit on a vehicle even if it turbo boosted.

Wooden Dagger
The Wooden dagger crude as it sounds is actually an effective close combat weapon whenever a wound is inflicted inflict another S 3 WOUND not hit because of splinters everyone can save against this additional attack.
Rocks
A Rock counts as a close combat weapon in all respects but is also capable of a ranged attack. A rock is S4 AP 6 Assault 2 12" range weapon. The Nun can sacrifice the squads movement for a turn to upgrade the rock to 24" range with an AP of 5 for one turn this can be used once per turn and does not stack.
Release The Orphans
This rule allows the entire squad to infiltrate to just out of 12" range of an enemy unit.

I like that quite a lot, I'll playtest that sometime, not at GW though. Which reminds me, I'll mention this elsewhere too, but any manchester players that don't know about that other shop we went to today, should.

Re: Nuns and Orphans
I agree, admission will be by invite, in the case of them, or accident, in the case of us, only. But still, only the good players will be smart enough to use this, see?
Re: Nuns and Orphans
Sounds like an idea, also you get over 9000 internets for coming up for a mission where my obliterators WANT their plasma cannons to scatter!

Yeah, and where I keep trying to make the orphans run towards a certain building, while my inquisitor watches and talks into a radio to the air crew...
Re: Nuns and Orphans
And a scary spartan wearing no clothes tries to rape an orphan with a shock maul XD

Re: Nuns and Orphans
Lol, and a guy in assassin armour, a cape and a snazzy hat snipes one. Because inquisitor versus peasant is fair.
Re: Nuns and Orphans
Because of course, you never expect... the Spanish Inquisition! O_O

Hmm there's an idea, how about just putting loads of chaos dredds near them? They HAVE to shoot at the nearest target and assault it!

Re: Nuns and Orphans
Ah, good point. Hadn't thought of that, we'll have to wait until he can get back to answer that. Unless they're like mandrakes, but that can still be hurt, but never targeted (until they reveal themselves, and yes, I was using "like mandrakes" loosely, to mean they don't count for stuff like that. Bitches).
