Not so fast, your not going to be able to just go back, I will let you, at some point and even then the Steampunk universe is probably the endgame.... unless I feel like extending the play time

Keep it going for as long as you can! Swap places with a player when you get bored. Add new players. Drop players. Change the story as we play, it's fun like that.

Okay then. Remember though, the player should be mostly in charge of their destiny, unless they chose it as an advantage/disadvantage.

Oh yes, but based on your actions in the game will depend on what happens to the characters after the events of the campaign, so after you've completed it I'll write a story/tell you what your character does afterwards such as- fall into depression, go mad, become evil, live happily ever after, find a wifey, become king but infinitely more colourful

Needless to say, each of those events can be covered with in-game stuff, and so a follow-up is in order. (chronic depression, lunacy/insanity spell permanent, callous and ally group, wealth and status boost, dependant, status boost)

Yea, I just fancy making the campaign have a defenate ending and people know how their character has been affected and has gone on after their 'adventure'

Oh hell yes, I'll probably look after them because I have thought of a way to... include them in a future campaign, I'm thinking our campaigns should be all set in one universe but different times in it so we get a real sense of story and history about it?

There's a system called "Infinite worlds" in GURPS which allows people from every time and world to play in the same place. I'll tell you about it next time.

Well, racial IQ is 5, but I guess I could lower my DX, use the points to but IQ. It'd be expensive, but so damn worth it.
