O'Kauyon- the Tau of Chaos

After the first crusade against the tau empire while commanders like O’shovah retook the shattered edges of tau space, the Aun on Tau realised that they could not match the speed of the Imperial warp drives and so were open to more attacks from the Emperor’s forces. So after a decade of research and tests the Fio engineers had created what was thought to be a incredibly powerful warp drive. The Aun caste, overriding the objections of the Fio commissioned a fleet built with the warp drive installed on every ship and placed the most loyal commander available, O’Kauyon as its commander. As is the custom with the tau, several Aun caste members accompanied the expedition.
On the day of the voyage everything was going better than expected, many of the Fio who had worked on the device were hear d saying that they had never expected it to work as well as it was. The fleet broke into the warp without a problem and it was then that everything went wrong, several of the largest ships where ripped apart (coincidently the only ships destroyed contain the Aun members) the rest of the fleet was dragged off course and crashed into a hellish realm of ever-changing crystal pathways with darting shadows, O’Kauyon, instead of holding position at the crash site, gathered all the survivors and led them deeper into the maze.
Within a week more than half of the fire warriors under O’Kauyon’s command had either gone insane or had committed suicide, but O’Kauyon just increased the pace and refused to stop. By the time he arrived at the centre of the maze he had just seventy warriors under his command out of the original twenty thousand and out of all of that twenty thousand those seventy people seemed barely effected by the place.
In the middle of the great twisting maze was a huge fortress that shifted as much as its surroundings. O’Kauyon, desperate to know what lay inside ordered his forces (small as they were) forward. As they reached the entrance of the fortress there were screams from many of the fire warriors and forty fell to the ground whimpering and crying, but O’Kauyon didn’t even look at them. As he pushed deeper into the fortress more and more men fell to the ground and they were ignored by everyone, so intent were they on the growing pulse of power coming from further on suddenly a huge door disturbingly solid and unmoving in the warping passageways appeared down a corridor. O’Kauyon and his nine remaining men ran towards the door and pushed it open, revealing Tzeentch, the God of Change. The great god, seeing that these men, and in particular there commander had great untapped psychic potential, offered them unlimited power and immortality in exchange for servitude to him. Instantly O’Kauyon and the others agreed, forgetting the greater good, for where had it been when they had crashed into the warp.
Sending the Chaos blessed tau through secret pathways of his maze; Tzeentch placed the men on one of the farsight enclaves. O’Kauyon, still the most powerful of the group ordered them to gather forces from the enclaves and to meet him on the moon of a Imperial frontier world called Mugaragh. While they did this, O’Kauyon used the time to practice with his newly gain powers, he stared again and again into the warp reaching though it and tearing the life from anyone unlucky enough to catch his attention. When the force gathered by his lieutenants arrived he ordered them to attack the planet below, the taking of the planet took under a day with the combined psychic ability of the blessed tau. After there was no one left to fight O’Kauyon called to his god and asked for his assistance. Tzeentch looked inside O’Kauyon’s mind and saw what it was he wanted and, amused, did help him. Calling a huge warp storm that engulfed the planet, Tzeentch ripped the planet out of the real universe and dragged it into the warp, where it is still, converted into a HQ by O’Kauyon and protected by Tzeentch.
Several years after Mugaragh, renamed Mont’au, had been taken into the warp, O’Kauyon began to see the first effects of Chaos taint on himself and the other nine blessed tau. Desperate to stop the mutations, O’Kauyon questioned many of the remaining members of the Thousand Sons legion who had freed themselves from signs of taint, most remained silent, the few that did speak said to find Ahriman, Former Librarian of the Thousand Sons.
Though it took him several decades, O’Kauyon tracked Ahriman to a small moon close to a sealed Webway portal and ripped the knowledge from Ahriman’s mind and left him on his moon, weak and broken. Armed with his new found knowledge, O’Kauyon returned to Mont’au and prepared to save himself and his brothers from mutation.
When he arrived on Mont’au he sent the rest or his forces away from the planet, leaving him and the other nine blessed ones on the planet. He then began the Rubric of Ahriman, the same spell cast by Ahriman and the other Thousand Sons sorcerers after the Horus Heresy. The ten Tau sorcerers emerged from that spell mutation free and with hugely improved psychic abilities and, forewarned by O’Kauyon the rest of the sorcerer’s forces had been saved from the same fate that had befallen the non- psychic members of the Thousand Sons.
Now no longer mutating and even more powerful than before, O’Kauyon now leaps from the warp striking down entire planets before returning to the warp. only time will tell if these apparently random acts of brutality fit into some grand plan of the Lord of Change or they are just the acts of a deranged mind.

Indeed, I've just read it, it looks damn good but I don't think Ahriman would be broken from this or have it ripped from his mind, he is godlike in his psychic abilities, on par with eldrad, tigerus and even magnus to a point! He can affectively turn an entire chapter to dust XD

Oh indeed but the point is his mind hasn't got a profile in game has it? It's damn powerful and you'd need to be uber magicky powerful to get into or even get close to his mind let alone break it!

But if you kill him, then you wouldnt get it. maybe ahriman would have willingly helped the tau to see if he could get the spell right this time around

Indeed, I think making a deal with him would be a better story, that way you could use him coming to collect his debt or something as a future story?

And an awesome reason to make a chaos/tau themed campaign. With all the stars from my storyline coming in to help. Should be fun, when you finally get back.

Maybe you would have to make them slow and purposeful still. Seeing as they rape as it is, you do need to give them a side effect. That, or they are even WORSE (if its possible) at close combat

Umm, how could they be worse? Maybe if you gave them WS 1, S 1, and no close combat weapon options at all.
