Food colouring
I bought a big thing of red food colouring and although it has painted the sheep bone I tested very nicely, am wondering if it would work as paint for warhammer as I have no red paint and don't really want the food colouring test it on a figure just incase.

Re: Food colouring
it would probably make a good wash... but not as a basecoat.

Re: Food colouring
woo i have all those colours
the monolith is built now but am waitin till u r here b4 i paint it cos i want it done properly
am thinkin of grimy bleached bone colour with bits of black silver and bronze
i replaced the crappy green plastic crystal with a fake diamond of a chandelier
i have a whole 7 colours now lol not including the food colouring
i have decided to test it on the blade of a guass flayer

Re: Food colouring
i have now re painted all my warriors so that they have blood on in varying amount
th food colouring looks like dried blood when it dries but if u mix it with pva glue it keeps the reddy colour
i also found tht if you put to much on ad then wipe it off, it leaves a bloody stain on the blade which looks awesome on my necron lords staff.

Re: Food colouring
Thanks for that last bit, my commissars can have that on their swords. And possibly on their guns.
Re: Food colouring
npz
4 a couple of the older lookin necrons i put spatterings of blood over their faces and pools of it at their feet as if theyv been walking through piles of corpses (patricks idea)
food colouring also works better for blood than paint cos of the way it goes on the plastic like blood would
