Kill Team
Kill Team campaign. Simple. Travel over a map kicking the living shit out of Gangs and Groups. Easier and less expensive than Necromunda. You make groups from your 40k army. 200 points. Everything can split up, not stay in squads. Will has the Battle Missions book with it in. He may be able to give you more information.

Indeed, I'll post up the exact army set up later, I'm assuming this is instead of your necromunda thingy?

Re: Kill Team
Not allowed HQ or Heavy Support and only 1 Elite, 2 Troops, you mayhave 1 fast attack if you wish. You do not need full squads they can be on their own. E.g. Ork players like me may take One Meganob or Nob to command my Kill Team. I need a list of players and they need names. Kill Team 'Chosennamehere' is how you will write your name. Mine may be called Kill Team Gearjaw. So who's in?

Re: Kill Team
Ah, no, you've got the rules slightly wrong, you HAVE to make a 200pt army with this force organisation chart --
1 ELITE
2 TROOPS
1 FAST ATTACK
They are all optional but at the end, you can give any three models a special rule from the universal special rule section of the rulebook (The normal one) You cannot give the same model two special rules and you cannot take the same rule twice.
After this, in game your models act as individual squads, but you HAVE to 'buy' squads normally, for instance, if the squad entry says there is a minimum amount you need to make up a squad, you must adhere to this, so you can't take one chaos marine for instance, you need to take at least 5.
Just to clear things up a bit ^^

Re: Kill Team
Keeping this here for now - notebook is upstairs, I'm not. Toyed with the idea of Feel No Pain rather than Furious Charge, opinions on the matter?
Syrabite with Agoniser, Shadow Field and Combat Drugs (Furious Charge) - 94
4 Warriors with 1 dark lance (Dark Lancer has Relentless, one other has Scout) - 46
Raider with disintegrator - 60
Kill Team Cursecutter reporting for duty.

Re: Kill Team
The answer is, you have to do standard squad buying, if the entry says you need 10 men in a squad for a plasma cannon, you need 10 men, if the entry says you can have more than one dark lance, then you can have it as long as you pay the points and meet the requirements of having a second one or one in the first place

Re: Kill Team
Bugger, I need 10 men in the squad for that.
Two things, will there be any sort of points progression in this, and will we be able to get other units? I need some sort of leader, since a syrabite is little more than a squad leader.

Re: Kill Team
Aside from this, you'll have to ask Connnor, I'd recommend letting each person have 150pts to spend on a HQ as well, and point progression should not be hugely ramped up, maybe make a map of some sorts that you can fight over (A city or something would be good) or do a league table

Re: Kill Team
Only problem is the cost of a few of the larger HQ's, chaos lords are damn expensive, maybe 120 points then but no lower than that

Re: Kill Team
Hmm, for 120 points I can get an Archon with Shadow Field, Power Weapon and Combat Drugs, and we know how overpowered that is.
Re: Kill Team
Indeed, but other people can just about get a HQ with any optional wargear, you guys are going to have to talk about that on a friday

Re: Kill Team
i would really like a game type where you're allowed 10 individual models from troops selection (plus 1 dedicated transports ) and 1 HQ up to 500? points and they can be upgraded to fuck! ignoring, ten men to have a plasma gun rule, and stuff like that, so if you want 10 guys with flame-throwers you get them, and each individual model can be given a universal special rule. after deploying as one unit they can operate as individuals and your opponent is allowed 750 pts no upgrades, the 500 points player always goes first and the game is objective based, for example, rescue such and such a person,
or
sneak and destroy, in which the 750 point player has to act like he doesn't know the enemy are there (uses scatter dice or a set path to decide movement)
...
...
...
this could end up being really cool if i refine it somewhat.
i'll get to it sometime over the hols, and then we can test it out.
