Grey Knights and Blood Angels
Can be used in an army together. So this means that as well as the multiple lulz from having Blood Angels, you can use the lovely S6 basic infantry you've come to know and love. And as if that wasn't enough, you too can enjoy the pleasures of having your enemy's invulnerable save brushed aside like so much immaterial force.
Plus, until this is fixed, such wonders as teleporting your S6 infantry in, having various quite obviously broken assassins, and possibly even the mythical demonhosts can be in your, already ridiculously powerful, army.
Basically, should I get some blood angels, and stick some grey knights in them, neatly combining the two hardest-of-core marines in the damn game?

Re: Grey Knights and Blood Angels
I was looking at this just last night, putting some Grey Knights in my new Angels force. There are two ways to do this: Adding Daemonhunter allies to a Marine force, or having Marine allies in a Daemonhunter force - however, the second one is no good, Allied Space Marines are only allowed if you take no Grey Knights.
So, just stick your fancy-pants Grey Knights or Teleport attack in there if you want, but Assassins (and Daemonhosts) may only be included if there is an Inquisitor present, and since you can only have 0-1 Elites from Codex Daemonhunters, that requirement will have to take the form of an Inquisitor Lord, which raises the question: Do you really want to take a Lord for the sake of an assassin? I wouldn't, unless it's a massive points game.

I will lol so hard when the Daemonhunters new codex comes out this summer. Its quite obvious the infantry will get nerfed, just as much as Necrons. Blood Angels are brutal very brutal but Grey Knights aren't going to be nowhere near as powerful as they are now.

Re: Grey Knights and Blood Angels
What you're forgetting is that ALL new 5th ed codexes (codicies? codi? w/e) are getting SUPA BUFF. Angels are brutal, wolves are brutal, marines are brutal, guard are... brutal compared to the old guard (2+ cover saves? why? BECAUSE THE SARGE SAID SO, MAGGOTS! Fire three times? Why? BECAUSE THE SARGE SAID SO, MAGGOTS!)
So a new Inquisition Codex? If I was a gambling man, I'd say Sisters will aproach guard-like levels of outnumbering potential, deathwatch will probibly be sternguard veterans as troops, and the grey knights will probibly become more like W40K on hard mode (less models for your points)

Re: Grey Knights and Blood Angels
Lords are powerful in their own right - rather cheap, and can upgrade to WS 5, BS 5, with damn good psyker abilities. Obviously, they're priceless against demons, or possibly Eldar, as the Avatar counts as a demon, for some purposes, or so I believe.
Nerfing GKs? Unlikely. The whole point of them is that it's marines turned up to 11.

Why thank you, dear sir. But it's true. If they do it right, GKs will be better, yet more expensive, than blood angels.

Re: Grey Knights and Blood Angels
Well, okay. S4 basic, but they're all equipped with nemesis force weapons, for +2 to S. And yes, but as I said before, we're the best of the best. To become the lowest rank of grey knight requires harder tests than most space marines ever take.
Re: Grey Knights and Blood Angels
I think we are forgetting that GK are among the strongest and most skilled warriors in the galaxy. Only very few can complete Halo 2 on legendary. IMO they won't get nerfed. Ketran, Necrons have been nerfed by the 2D6 Armour Penetration as Monoliths are now easy as ever to blow up but in my opinion will be better as We'll Be Back! potentially meant if you were a good roller then the fags would keep getting up.

Re: Grey Knights and Blood Angels
Ahem, in response to Mephiston is the strongest thus there is no way GW would never make anything more powerful.
When has anything GW done ever been; fair, sensible, right or good for anyone but themselves? They'll buff GK for sure, that way they'll sell loads of them, because they'll kick arse

Was this supposed to be a joke? You wanted "Too many grammar errors; cba reading."
But yeah, Mephhiston may well be strong, but a grey knight will receive equal training, equal practice, and the nemesis force weapon. So, that's S8, assuming GW uses your logic. As it is, I think they'll stick at S6.
