Competition

I propose a conversion competition and I am the judge.

A Converted HQ and Troops. If special rules apply with Force Organisation, then that is okay. (For Example: A Big Mek allows 1 Deff Dread to be taken as a troop choice, then a Mek and a Dread are usable)

Indeed, what is the prize? *Concocts devious plan*

Is it judged on conversion or painting? Essentially, will a nicely painted model win over a really well made and original model with bad painting?

It will be judged on painting and coolness. The prize is... Hmm? I'm not too sure yet. Any ideas?

The coolness will be judged out of 10 and so will the paint job. The two scores will be added together. Any scores that draw will have the cooler one go through.

Chocolate could be the prize! Everyone likes chocolate! Or cake!! Or both!!

Hmmm.... maybe a GW voucher or something, chocolate is hard to send by post or you could put money into a pay-pal account or something

I don't have paypal, but I might be getting it, so yeah, that's a good plan. Does fanboy have vouchers?

I don't think so, they have reward points but they are a bit meh, you only get them for doing trades or events I think O_o Get a paypal, it's easier to transfer money to people and helpful for ordering stuff online, that way you can transfer large amounts safely [/end sales pitch]

i had an idea for competitions i was talking about with adam a while ago, you pick a unit, and you convert the shit out of it, and make it look as awesome as possible, the winner gets to choose the next month/season (depending on how long it takes us lazy buggers) to choose the next unit, their also the judge of the next unit. this means we al get to build up different armiesover aperiod of time,whilst concentrating on our main one, and if you dont like that,sell the unit to someone who collects them, (though personally I'll be keeping al mine)

and if i were allowed to choose for spring... a unit of cadians.
(can be made into rebel guard and used for any army)

Hmmm.....sounds good but I think we should do that when we all have quite a bit of money, we convert a bit of our new army each week and paint them and accumulate points over time and the person with the nicest looking army and most points wins!

thats why i was saying to do it per season,so we will all have enough money, i should have in two weeks to start it

i say...the one i suggested, i'll judge, so this time i cant win, and happens seasonally, so we can all afford it, (i'll join in i just cant win, and its based on overall coolness, so if the modelling is so good the painting doesnt matter you can win like that,or vice versa)
