There's a pritty in-depth article on GW's website, however, I don't use avengers myself, so I couldn't offer any personal information to that.

Using the blue foundation paint (Mordian Blue) and the yellow foundation paitn (Iyaden Darksun) are really good base coats for the colour, if those are your colours, I would also recommend spraying them white instead of black so the white is easier.... Also, a thin black wash should give a really nice, deep shading
