Necron Dreadnought

Just started converting a dreadnought and make it more necron looking will update with pics

I know, mind you, this years White Dwarf model was a stroke of modelling and marketing genius.... I think I'm going to end up buying a £45 model.... Oh well, at least I get the magazines

not sure bout rules 4 my dreadnought, due to uber killyness of the claw am thinkin it will be a power weapon with 3 attacks
will make the ranged weapon the same as the one for a heavy destroyer
but thts assuming its a vehicle
if going by the rest of the necrons, it should be a monstrous creature dut to it writhing with living metal, and tomb spyders, destroyers and heavy destroyers not being vehicles
this would mean it gets a we'll be back roll, but i'd want it to have that even if i count it as a vehicle

Hmm, I doubt you'll be able to we will be back as a vehicle but as a monstrous we can SPAWN! It and it can be instant deathed, you could make a rule that if you wreck it them a res orb can be used to try and 'fix' the wreckage but blown up means no resurrection for it?

true but at the same time i can choose to keep respawning it
n with my custom rule it will get to roll its we'll be back roll twice every time i teleport it
meaning tht unless i need the power matrix for other things i can re-deploy him where his heavy gauss canon will be more killy

Ah fair enough, but remember, if you don't take the res orb then instant death means you don't get WWBB

thts y i introduced the rule of overlapping orbs
with th icon lord and monolith it will be much harder to cheat n make them phase out without killing the best models

charging with close combat deamons is toms fav method
hopin the close combat on this new model will mean he can join in the fight to overwhelm the enemy
the speedyness of the wraith should also make good close combat support

It really is a great tactic to use... not necessarily for your army list though, for that you need MEAT SHIELD! Get your elite and nasty troops and plonk them behind less killy but still killy enough to be a threat troops, like marines or in your case warriors, but be sure to keep a few back to combat Phase Out!
