My Necron Dreadnought Empty My Necron Dreadnought

Post by joeinthebox Sun Nov 01, 2009 12:25 pm

tom gave me his dreadnought which had been converted to chaos, in exchange for lack paint and a train ticket
so am now in the process of converting it
started by taking all the chaos stuff off, n filing off space marine details such as those scroll things
tried carving a hole for my necron head to go into but tht didnt work so i just stuck it on the front

tom thought i should turn the CC weapon into a guass cannon but i didnt want to
after reading the description of the wraiths claws as "an assortment of nightmare surgical equiptment" and looking at my spare bits i got this idea (what i havnt done yet is drawn on badly)
turning the gun into a gauss cannon with two rods either side

Sweet, that looks awesome ^_^ Maybe try and make some sort of cage for the icon, like a coffin shape to go around it so it looks more stable? Should look awesome though ^_^

thanks ^^
dno bout the cage for the icon, may take away some of its visual appeal n i doubt it would make it more sturdy without lots of it
just done the right arm
got a see-thru hollow straw/tube thing thts just the same width as gauss (random lucky find)
GENTLY sucked green paint into it to make it look v guass like
then cut it into 4 equal lengths and put them into the ready drilled holes
as i found out with the first 2, SEAL BEFORE STICKING IN
the plastic glu pushes the paint out and everywhere, so thers only half as much green paint in the front 2
spare bits off the end of guass weapons wouldv bin nyc but i had to make do with green stuff to seal the ends
after moulding the green stuff as best as i could here is the result
bear in mind the lighting is crap so the green dnt stand out, and that the green stuff either side will be painted silver

Ah fair enough, is it an SD card? You should have a lead somewhere that will connect to the camera and check if your computer has an SD card reader, if it does just take the SD card out and stick it in

ty =]
all 3 parts took a fair while to make, am glad the effort ws worth it
n the icon probly is wonky despite how hard i tried to keep it str8
ent easy to melt plastics sprue into shape then stick each bit together, then stick the whole thing in the right position on top, had to use green stuff for tht last bit

I want some one to make a necron dread with a destroyer skimmer body in place of legs and a destroyer head attached to the dreads sarcophagus with external wiring. A tomb Spyder arm in place of the CCW and a monolith gauss cannon in place of the Marine Gun.
