That looks good at first glance, btw if your using it as a dreadnought, I would make it a vehicle, it makes sense if it's an imperial thing converted to necron... mind you the low points and wound cost kind of balance things out so it would work as a creature...

Re: necron dreadnaught
i ws originally gna base it on e dreadnought as a vehicle but its more balanced as a creature and also is easier to compare to other necron units
i tested its ranged against 2 destroyer which would cost 5 points more than it, and it won with 1 wound left
then testing its combat against a wraith and 5 flayed ones (101 points) it lost by 44 points
so overall i think iv got it pretty balanced
i made the icon cost 40 as thats the cost of a res orb n all necrons have v high Ld anyways

Re: necron dreadnaught
Yea not really.... I can think of some spells you could use for turning vehicles to scarab swarms..... Something like roll 6 D6 and you have to score over the vehicles combined armour values (Side only counts once) This is fair as you cannot just 'SPAWN!' a land raider and the highest value you can get to is about 36

Re: necron dreadnaught
the highest combined non-apocalyse armour is monolith 42
its only a flayed one, would need epic strength to beat an armour round thirty
however its given me an idea
if a vehicle is stunned, immobilised or wrecked then it can use the spawn spell
it has to pass morale test and hitting test as per
then if it glances it turn it into 1 swarm
penetrates, 3 swarms
if its wrecked its armour value should be halved

Re: necron dreadnaught

Re: necron dreadnaught
Yeah, test it a few times, and don't make it ordnance or AP1. Maybe keep it AP6, just so people don't use it on infantry.
Re: necron dreadnaught
Yea that sounds good, make sure you ask if it's ok in friendly games as well ^_^
