New Army

I'm thinking about a new army, I've desided against eldar, dark eldar and orks, can anyone help me deside?

What army do you have?

He's got Tau. Since you've discounted two of the best, and orks, I'd go for demonhunters. Grey Knights are awesome.

Don't go spud marines, every man and his dog has an army of them, what about Nids or IG?

Aye, Guard are nice. Plus, Guard and Tau (or indeed Guard and any "elite" army) works nicely - Guard hold objectives, Tau do the fighting.

The new nids are pretty damn awesome, if your going to do SM however, do Space Pups or Angry Marines

If you must do spess mareens, I'm going to have to deduct a shitload of points. Imperial shitload, not this new metric crap.

Like I said not spud marines, choose a specialist army.

I'm thinking IG, infantry or tanks? (mainly)

I do infantry, but then they're being converted to rebel guard, which have very few tanks - everything's looted, so costs more points and is usually 0-1. For loyal guard, tanks all the way.

If it was IG then I usually go for mecha, if your making rebel guard just use the guard codex but convert the models.... But a mech IG army is scary O_O
