Best 40k Army?

Opinions people! Which army really has the strength and flexibility to take on all codex's, or packs the biggest punch when specialised against one particular enemy? Blood Angels appear to have the upper hand, but I'm sure they can be beaten with any well thought out list...

'Nids! Infiltrate with a max squad of Genestealers w/Scything talons and Adrenal Glands, then Move, Run, Charge the fuckers!

Probabilities vs. SMurfs:
60 attacks, 4's to hit, reroll 1's, 6's are rending. 24 hits, 12 rendings.
24 wounds, on 3's. 18 wounds.
12 rendings, on 2's. 10 wounds, no saves.
18 wounds, save on 3's. 6 unsaved.

16 SMurfs gone on the charge. Now, imagine if that'd've been Tau. I call this the 'Meatgrinder'!

For me its the Necrons. Whilst they are the oldest (in every possible sense) the sheer power of a legion of warriors backed up by a Lord with Resserection Orb and Warscyth is truly terrifying. Not to mention the power of their weapons, LD 10 for all units, and destroyers.
Very little can face against that and none without a horrific loss in life and I thouruly expect the new codex to feck it upside down, round the monolith and up the Nightbringers scyth...

Tau for nice crunch (my vote above).

Old DE for style of play.

Bluhd Angles if I was a powergaming faggot, which I like to think I'm not. I don't actually like the fluff for any. It used to be the DE fluff, but it's too crap now. I liked the underdog feel.

Only reason I play Blood Angles is for the fluff.
Come on, an army of people eternally fighting a loosing battle against the black rage within themselves...you know me how could I not be interested in them?

One 115 point veteran squad with 3 flamers would be enough to roast their little socks to kingdom come. Alternatively 3 scout sentinel with heavy flamers for 120 points - around half of what I'm guessing that max nid squad will cost.
And as far as the infiltrate charge tactic goes, you need a six on your fleet move for that to work, you can't hide 20 genestealers 12" out of site that's for sure!
And space marines have this tactic too, kayvan shrike (jump pack, lightning claws, infiltrate) special character with a unit of vanguard vets (who can all be given lightning claws, power weapons or thunder hammers) can infiltrate, jump pack and assault in turn one, now that's what I call charge the fuckers!!!

well since I have already played (and lost to) your blood angels, how about you bring your necrons on Sunday? I can bring my marines If you fancy playing against them instead of my tau?

Hmm...dont see why not. Afread that they have recently fallen into even worse repair then my BA after years of pointless nelect But I can deffinitly get it atlest playable. 1,500p?

Edit: Ok, I have just done a quick round up of my army and it is here, Absolutly dreadful repair after years of neglect but they are at lest playable.

Cool, just post whether you want tau or marines threatening your lines!

Well then, in the spirt of good gamesmenship.
I will field 1 Monolith. I never play a C'tan in anything below 2,000p and never field a Monolith in anything below 1,500p.
Normally I wouldnt tell you but I like you and have sworn to play by fair rules and all that.

I will field either:
If space marines vindicator
If tau hammerhead with railgun
And thanks, same to you
So any preference out of the two armies I could bring?

Make it Tau. I am sick to death at fighting Marines.
Seriously, I go to a torny with my Necrons and out of the 5 rounds, 4 are fecking marines!! I won every single one!
It would be nice to test them out against a new race

Aye, they are...I love seeing the faces on noobs when they love that the hard way...Its almost as fun as when they learn that Terminators are not actually indestructable!

Since then I've sold my broadside however, which kind of sucks.

Indeed. And drill your fire warriors! That one guy who didnt get the order to retreat caused you a lot of pain last game
