Re: Legions' pack
Anyhow, I now have some advice.
1.Drop the Vindicator, if they are not in twos or threes they are not worth having, trust me.
2.With these points buy more troops, in a 2000pt game you want roughly four troop choices, in objective missions they make all the difference.
3.Give rhinos and transports, you do not want to be footslogging a CC army, in tanks you wont get shot to bits before you get there and you'll be relatively safe.
Glad to help ^^

Re: Legions' pack
Ahg, that's the thing, you probably would have been better off making an army list first, then buying stuff, if you want I would buy the vindicator, I could always use another =D
But seriously, in your 2000 pt list, either drop it or get two and drop points elsewhere for troops, it was just that the vindicator was an obvious waste of points, if you can cut back somewhere else, make sure you do so enough to have another 2 troops, transports and another vindicator.
Btw, this is me commenting on the list, I know you might not be able to get the models or be reluctant to stop using some but I'm just pointing out how to optimize your list ^^

Re: Legions' pack
It's the huge outbursts of rage that led to your ban, dude.
My advice would be to drop Marines, and get a decent army.

Re: Legions' pack
Well seeing as you have never actually read the space wolves codex it looks like I have to make it apparent why the space wolves are actually very much different from the spaz marines.
Ok here goes:
Every marine has the counter attack and acute senses rule.
Blood Claws have WS and BS skill 3
They also cannot wield boltguns and have the special rules headstrong and berserk charge.
Headstrong forces the squad to pass their shooting phase and assault when they are within 6 inches of an enemy unit.
Berserk charge grants +2 attacks on a charge instead of one.
Their is no such thing as an assault terminator there is only wolf guard. Wolf guard can carry any wargear except those that are used by devastators e.g lascannons, multi-meltas.
Wolf scouts have WS and BS 4 unlike ordinary space marine scouts.
Grey hunters are very much like the original marine except they carry chainswords and boltpistols as well as their boltguns so they always get +1 attack for charging.
Long fangs are the devastator squad except every member has to carry a heavy weapon except the squad leader so no standard grey hunters are allowed in the squad. Also the maximum squad capacity is 5 plus a squad leader and you cannot gift a signum to the squad. What makes them better is their ability of fire control which lets them shoot at two different targets.
Space Wolves have fenrisian wolves which are beasts, space marines don't have beasts. They also have thunderwolf cavalry which are cavalry space marines don't have cavalry. Fenrisian wolves can be led by a cyberwolf.
Wolf priests are like chaplains except they can re-roll their to hits against creatures with a toughness 5 or more plus the squad they are in. They also make their squad fearless.
Iron priests can not be upgraded like a techmarine can so there are no conversion beams of the sort they also can't have a servo harness they are allowed one servo arm. They can be accompanied by thrall servitors and cyberwolves. Thrall servitors don't suffer form the mind lock space marine servitors have.
Rune priests don't have psychic hoods instead they always have a force weapon that can negate psychic powers on a 4+ they also have wolf of the wolf wolf power which makes the wolf open and wolf your wolf.
A thunderfire cannon is not included in the codex neither is a land speeder tempest.
Space wolves have the unique unit the lone wolf which can be pretty much anything with any wargear with eternal warrior, fearless and feel no pain. Space marines do not have this.
Any human model that is not a HQ can have a boltpistol and chainsword unlike space marines who can only give this wargear to sergeants and assault marines.
Skyclaws and swiftclaws (jump infantry and bikes) are blood claws so WS 3 BS 3. A wolf guard model can be taken from a squad and attached to a blood claw or grey wolf pack to lead them.
Wolf guard cannot deepstrike with teleporters they have to sit in a drop pod. The space wolves can have as many HQ choices as they want as long as they don't contain the same combinations of wargear and characteristics.
Space wolf HQs have a unique option space marines don't have called sagas. E.g saga of the bear, saga of the warrior born etc these confer awesome new rules.
So yeah there you go as well as the fact they all have mighty beards space wolves not the same as space marines.

Re: Legions' pack
So, they're exactly the same as a normal spess mareen, but powered up so GW can trick crappy players into giving them more money? Interesting.
Re: Legions' pack
No they are not exactly the same as normal spaz marines as you can clearly read and yes they are powerful but the standard troops choice is shite so they are harder to play than normal spaz marines

No they're not. Any army is easy to play. Especially Necrons. O_O. All you need to do with Necrons is line up and march forward.

Re: Legions' pack
Ahem, I'm assuming the standard troop choice your referring to is the Wolf version of scouts? I call bullshit on them being the main troop choice, normal marines have always been the usual choice for armies, no one I know of uses scouts as main troops....

Re: Legions' pack
So, these spess mareens are harder to play than normal ones? What, does it stretch the mind remembering to say "Wolf" in front of every third word?
Re: Legions' pack
im going to ignore spirits pointless and irrelevant comment and guo blood claws are the standard troop choice they are essentially marine scouts with power armour no rules and a tendency to go insane in a charge

Re: Legions' pack
Hang on, just a quick question, can you buy normal marines in the space pup codex? Are they the same price as in the normal book? If so, they are the staple troop, not blood claws.....

Re: Legions' pack
blood claws and grey hunters. Blood claws are essentially new initiates who are thrown into the ranks to get killed. Grey hunters are more trained and can carry a boltgun chainsword and bolter all at the same time. ^^ plus 1+ attack. While blood claws cannot wield boltguns.
