Also, can you see what I did there? There's a gaping flaw in the basic build of the enchantments that's glaringly obvious once pointed out, and I mean GAPING. Can you tell what it is yet?

Also, Camokasi, if you can stat either of those weaopns as an Innate Attack, then by all means, go ahead and take one for your little guardians. That have what, 5 on everything (making them absolutely appauling, btw) and cost two points each? With 20 points to spend on them and around 350 points of disadvantages (If you take Automaton, Machine, and AI for them! Instant awesome!) Also, if you spend 60 points on them, then you'll get 100 of them! Do it!

Quantity does not always mean that they can do shit Camo, just remember that. No matter how many you have, if they are 5 at everything they are helpless cannon fodder

5 in everything, assuming no skills. You're gonna be hitting on 3s with any weapon, and hitting on 5s with bare hands. Now, ST of 5 means you're doing roughly 1d-4 damage per hit with a swing. Which equates to a total of 1d6-6 damage with a punch. With a dagger, 1d6-5 damage. Not too impressive.

We can also assume that your opponent will be getting an active defense. A decent fighter will have about 16 in their weapon skill, giving them a parry of about 11, dodge of about 8.

Quick calculator here says:
3 or less on 3d6 is 0.46%.
12 or more on 3d6 is 37.50%
So for you to hit and not be parried is 1.725%
For you to do 1 damage on a swing is 0.2875%

Not particularly impressive. Of course, numbers comes after roleplay value, but there's still an argument that throwing away points is unwise.

I thought he was gonna take 40 points (DX+10) in Innate Attack (Beam), then take a fuck-op Innate Attack. That'd work, wouldn't it?

Why? It's perfectly sane, and while it's kinda OP an broken as shit, it's actually kinda sensible. Say it represents targeting optics or something, I'unno. That, or make the Innate Attack melee range and link it to Striking ST. Boom! Instant fists of doom, just add ranks in Brawling! Add in high DR, and you suddenly have some cannon fodder that're actually worth using!

Well, I think we've covered three major areas here - shins, groin and head. And I'm probably the most trained fighter, so it makes sense that I go for the most difficult hit penalty.

Yeah, that's not really gonna be a problem for much longer. Besides, you can't buy off 40 points of negative TL in a couple of days, now, can you? OFC, there might be a tad of a timeskip coming up around the middle of Act 2, so you could buy off your TL 0 then. I mean, it won't matter if you do or not, but it'd be cool to suddenly see you go from clubs and slings to a Chainsaw-on-a-tree and a HMG.

To be perfectly honest, the only thing I'd likely do at a higher TL is get this maul sharpened and spiked. Because several dice of damage is good, but several dice of impaling damage is better.

Failing that, those 40 points would buy me sex appeal at 23. Which is not to be sniffed at.
