3.5 Gestalt Game, actually happening
[22:23] <@Spiritcurse> Words wash over you as you awaken from a fitful sleep, muscles too weak to be of use - "They're waking up, time to leave". You hear the brief protests of another man, before the first voice cuts him off. "You gave you word, mage. Now, we leave". After a few footsteps, you regain enough strength to open your eyes.
[22:23] <@Spiritcurse> You are laid on your backs on a cold stone floor, surrounded by around a dozen other bodies of various races. Each is clothed only to the point of modesty, and a blue cross adorns the chests of all but you. The room is lit by a small torch in one wall, and a simple wooden chest decorates the wall closest to the door, which has been left ajar.
[22:23] <@Spiritcurse> Other than the sounds of your own breathing leaving a cloud of frost in front of you, the room is deathly silent, and cold with the chill of death. Your muscles slowly ache less, and you feel you might just have the energy to stand.
[22:24] <Dorian> I groan, and sit up, rubbing my head.
[22:25] <Codex> I do the same and decide to examine the bodies a bit, once I have regained my strength.
[22:26] <@Spiritcurse> The bodies are various - males and females, elves, halflings, human, and slightly more obscure races. Each are similar in one respect - they seem to have died a peaceful death, with no clear cause.
[22:27] <Codex> I attempt to stand, to make my way to the chest.
[22:27] <@Spiritcurse> Though it takes considerable force of will, you manage to stand and walk normally. The cold stone on bare feet causes you to wince slightly.
[22:28] <Dorian> Looking around at the bodies, I sigh, and lay back down. Realising just how cold the floor is, I make an increased effort to stand up.
[22:28] <@Spiritcurse> You too manage to stand, and your muscles ache considerably less once stood up.
[22:29] <Codex> I examine the chest, checking for anything that looks suspicious.
[22:31] <@Spiritcurse> You don't find any evidence of traps, but of mild suspicion is that face that the chest is unlocked.
[22:31] <Codex> I open the chest carefully and slowly.
[22:31] <@Spiritcurse> The chest opens easily to the touch, and you notice it contains both of your adventuring equipment from your last journey. It seems to have been left untouched, including the food and gold. It also contains a sheet, written in a strange language that seems to twist and curve before your eyes.
[22:33] <Dorian> I wander over and take my gear, donning it as well as I can in my wearied state.
[22:33] <Codex> I look around for the human that appears to have woken up also, and hand him the sheet. I make no words whilst doing this, and attempt to stay quiet. Then I don my own gear.
[22:34] <@Spiritcurse> You manage to dress quickly and quietly, and the bite of the cold quickly fades away.
[22:35] <Dorian> I take the sheet and start to look over it, seeing if I recognise any of the words or characters.
[22:37] <@Spiritcurse> Some words seem familiar, though the text as a whole is indecipherable. You do recognize enough to glean some information - a "king" is mentioned, as is a bell and a tower. What this means, however, is unclear.
[22:38] <Codex> After watching the human studying the sheet, I put my hand out, expecting it back.
[22:38] <Dorian> I hand it back to the Dwarf, frowning and thinking.
[22:39] <Codex> I attempt to read it myself, not expecting much of a result.
[22:40] <@Spiritcurse> You manage to confirm the presence of the word "king", though any further analysis is beyond you.
[22:40] <Codex> I place the sheet into my satchel and take another look around, picking through the bodies on my way to the door.
[22:41] <@Spiritcurse> None of the bodies have much on them save their clothing, which decency says should remain unlooted.
[22:41] <Dorian> I follow the Dwarf, still deep in thought.
[22:42] <Codex> Looking at my plated armour, I drop a bit of the secrecy and draw my flail as I get to the door, opening it as quietly as I can in armour.
[22:43] <@Spiritcurse> The adjacent room appears to be a guard room. It is incredibly dark, the only illumination being the light from your cell and a candle on a table against the opposite wall. The light shows an elf sat at the table, writing feverishly on a scroll. There is a door on the left and right hand walls, both closed but lacking locks.
[22:45] <Dorian> I place my hand on my sword's hilt. "Hello?"
[22:45] <@Spiritcurse> The elf spins to face you and goes white, clearly surprised to see you alive. Without uttering a word, he draws his sword, utters a brief prayer, and steps forward to fight!
[22:51] <Dorian> I draw my sword and start to focus my magic into a wall of force around myself.
[22:54] <@Spiritcurse> The elf raises his other hand and fires a small ball of green light. The ball impacts on the dwarf, causing a mild sting. The elf settles back into a fighting stance.
[22:57] <Codex> I run at the elf, drawing my flail and swinging it in one motion. I miss my swing dramatically and come to stop near the elf.
[22:59] <Dorian> I move in and take a swing at the elf, aiming straight for his torso
[23:01] <Dorian> The blade hits and makes a small incision best described as a flesh wound.
[23:03] <@Spiritcurse> Replying in kind, the elf makes a small nick in your arm, pausing only to briefly laugh at the dwarf.
[23:06] <Codex> Angered at the laughter, I swing my flail accurately at the Elfs chest, a smirk on my face.
[23:06] <@Spiritcurse> He almost collapses at the impact, and you hear more than a few bones break.
[23:07] <Dorian> I grab at the elf and hook my leg behind his, attempting to trip him up
[23:09] <@Spiritcurse> Despite swinging for you, the elf is helpless to resist your trip, and thuds heavily into the ground.
[23:10] <Dorian> I swing my sword down and point it dead at his throat. "<Who are you?>" I say, making sure to ennunciate my Elven properly.
[23:11] <@Spiritcurse> "<Tohiel. How did you get in here?>"
[23:12] <Codex> I walk around to the head of the elf and stand around, looking menacing, Flial in hand.
[23:12] <Dorian> I gesture at the room we came from. "<We were in there, asleep. What is this place?>"
[23:13] <@Spiritcurse> "<Asleep? They told me you were dead! It's just where we store the corpses until they're collected!>" He gibbers in terror, clearly terrified by the dwarf.
[23:14] <Dorian> I glance at the Dwarf, "<You scared of him? Don't worry, he won't hurt you. Unless you lie to us. Now, tell me. What is this place?>"
[23:15] <@Spiritcurse> "<It's just storage! I don't know, I'm just a guard!>"
[23:15] <Dorian> "<You sure? I mean, really sure?>"
[23:16] <@Spiritcurse> "<Yes! I just work nights here - I come up, I make sure the bodies are collected alright, I get paid, I go home! I'm a good man!>"
[23:17] <Dorian> I smile, "<I can see that. Now, what we're going to do is, we're going to leave. You will not mention us to anyone. We were never here, you never saw us, we never had this conversation. Agreed?>"
[23:18] <@Spiritcurse> "<Agreed! Please, just leave me and my family alive?>"
[23:19] <Dorian> I sheathe my sword, "<Relax, I won't harm anyone. For my Dwarven friend here, I make no promises. Of course, if you have been entirely truthful with us, I should be able to convince him to hold back, but if not... well, it might be you in that room. Understand? Good. Now, which way is out?>"
[23:20] <@Spiritcurse> "<The north door, then take a left. Thank you, sir.>" He points to the door that was on your right as you entered.
[23:21] <Codex> Seeing the exchange has slowed a little, I raise an eyebrow at the human, inquiringly.
[23:23] <Dorian> "<Thank you, and farewell.>" I turn to the Dwarf, and switch to his tounge, "{That door's the exit. Thank me later, let's go.}"
[23:23] <@Spiritcurse> The elf stammers a little, before climbing to his feet, taking his chair, and taking a few deep breaths. He picks up his quill, sighs, and turns back to writing on a fresh page.
[23:24] <Codex> Taken aback at the use of Dwarven, I reply "{Did you find out if there are any guards on the way out?}", following all the while.
[23:25] <Dorian> I grin, and make my way out of the door the elf indicated, pausing on the other side. "{If there are, do you honestly think they'll be stronger than matey back there?}"
[23:26] <Codex> "{Aye, but as fun as it is, I don't think leaving a trail of broken bones will help us later.}"
[23:26] <@Spiritcurse> The next room appears to be a barracks, judging by the forty or so beds lining the walls. Several are occupied by sleeping members of several races, though a few are awake and variously reading, practicing swordplay against each other, or eating. Thankfully, none have noticed you, stood as you are in the doorway.
[23:26] <Codex> I pause for a moment and turn around to the room we started off in.
[23:27] <Dorian> I sigh, and start to focus my magic towards the awake people, trying to get them to sleep.
[23:27] <Codex> I give a wink to our Elven friend and turn back to the doorway leading to the barracks.
[23:30] <@Spiritcurse> The people within hear your casting, and prove resistant to your charms. Three draw swords, while another draws a bow.
[23:35] <Codex> I charge at nearest swordsman, flail raised with a mighty dwarven "WAAAAAAAGH!"
[23:36] <@Spiritcurse> The swordsman recoils in shock and pain, though remains ready to fight.
[23:38] <Dorian> I draw my bow and take aim at the archer, loosing an arrow at him.
[23:39] <@Spiritcurse> Your arrow misses by feet, landing in a bed beside him.
[23:39] <@Spiritcurse> The three swordsmen swing for the dwarf, but all three glance off his armour as if they were nothing.
[23:40] <@Spiritcurse> The archer fires a shot at the huamn, missing by a similar margin.
[23:41] <@Spiritcurse> The final one gestures as if they were throwing something, and a purple missile strikes the dwarf hard in the face.
[23:43] <Codex> Shaking my head of the blast, I swing again with my flail and smack the swordsman squarely on the head. I turn to the other warriors and let out a bellow.
[23:46] <Dorian> I frown, and loose another arrow at the archer.
[23:49] <@Spiritcurse> While the arrow hits home, the armour absorbs most of the force of the blow. The archer looks more annoyed than injured.
[23:52] <@Spiritcurse> The swordsmen swing once more, though your armour continues to deflect their attacks.
[23:53] <@Spiritcurse> Shaking off his injury, the archer looses another arrow, missing to the left of you instead this time.
[23:54] <@Spiritcurse> With another shout and hand wave, the mage fires another missile, hitting the dwarf in the leg this time.
[23:57] <Codex> I burst out from between the two swordsmen and launch myself at the Mage, swinging my flail above my head and bringing it down hard upon the him.
[23:58] <Codex> He collapses under the flail, crumpling to the floor. I turn to remianing men and grin a horrid, bloodthirsty grin.
[00:00] <Dorian> With a brief laugh, I draw yet another arrow and loose it at the archer, my fingers crossed for it to hit.
[00:03] <Dorian> The arrow slams into the archer's shoulder, drawing a noticable ammount of blood.
[00:04] <@Spiritcurse> The swordsmen split up, one heading for each of you. However, they cannot penetrate either your armour or magical barriers, and settle into defending.
[00:04] <@Spiritcurse> While backing away, the archer launches another arrow at the dwarf, missing by feet.
[00:05] <Codex> Noticing the Archer backing away, I launch myself towards him, trusting the human to defend himself.
[00:07] <Codex> I fling myself past the Archer and slam my flail into the floor, turning and gritting my teeth at the archer I so widely missed.
[00:10] <Dorian> Seeing the swordsman all up in my grill, I take a step backwards and fire my bow straight at him. Somehow, I miss, despite being at such close range.
[00:11] <@Spiritcurse> The swordman goes for another swing at the human, but misses. The archer drops his bow and pulls a dagger, while the swordsman attacking the dwarf clatters harmlessly off his armour.
[00:13] <Codex> I pretend to ignore the Swordsman and swing my flail at the Archer once again.
[00:15] <Codex> Smashing the Archer in the chest, the wind leaves him and he too, drops to the floor. I turn to the swordsman nearest and say in common: "Do ya' really wanna' try it?" as I assume a defensive stance.
[00:16] <Dorian> I sigh, drop my bow, and draw my sword, swinging it at the swordsman closest to me.
[00:19] <Dorian> My sword catches the man in the lung, nearly puncturing it. He collapses but stays concious, fully unwilling to move.
[00:20] <@Spiritcurse> The remaining swordsman, hearing the anguished cries of his ally, drops his sword and flees for the door.
[00:25] <Codex> Swinging my flail at the feet of the running man, the chain wraps itself around his foot and he falls to the ground, face first.
[00:26] <@Spiritcurse> He cries in pain, and you can see he struggles to maintain conciousness. On the other side of the room, the other swordsman falls unconcious due to his wounds.
[00:27] <Dorian> I clean my sword on the unconcious man's hair and sheathe it, and put my bow away.
[00:28] <Codex> I place a knee upon the man I just floored. "What is this place?"
[00:28] <@Spiritcurse> Now that your attention isn't entirely taken up by guards, you notice a small chest in the corner of the room. The man growls "It's a barracks, what does it look like?"
[00:29] <Dorian> My attention peaked, I motion for the Dwarf to continue his interrogation as I make for the chest.
[00:29] <Codex> I slam my flail on the ground, next to his face. "WHY is there a room of corpses?"
[00:30] <@Spiritcurse> "I don't know! We just make sure they're ready to be collected, and store them for the king when he drops them off."
[00:31] <@Spiritcurse> The chest is locked, but appears to be made of thin wood - you could probably punch through it just as easily as you could pick it.
[00:31] <Dorian> I spin around, "{So THAT'S what that letter was about!}"
[00:32] <Dorian> I turn back and take out an arrow, holding it low to the head. I then begin to hit it against the wood near the lock.
[00:33] <Codex> Angry, I place a hand on the back of the mans head, applying a light amount of force. "You appear to be missing the point of my inquireies. What does the King need corpses for and why on earth did he choose us to throw in there?"
[00:43] <Spiritcurse> "I don't know! We're just paid to collect them when they appear, store them here, then give them to whoever asks for them."
[00:44] <Spiritcurse> On the other side of the room, the chest shatters, revealing two potions, a scroll, and several coins, which scatter around on the floor.
[00:46] <Codex> Disgruntled, I let go of the mans head, but stay on his back. "Where is this so called 'King'?"
[00:46] <Dorian> I pocket the potions and the coins, and start to read the scroll, although not out loud.
[00:46] <Spiritcurse> "In his tower, where else?"
[00:48] <Codex> {What've you found?}
[00:51] <Dorian> "{Potions, scrolls, and cash. I'll sare, don't worry.}"
[00:51] <Codex> "{The letter I mean, I want to know about this King.}"
[00:52] <Dorian> "{Oh, you mean this scroll?}" I hold up the scroll, "{Magic scroll, based on the concept of a spider's web, I think.}"
[00:55] <Codex> I nod and turn back to the man I'm knelt on. "Directions."
[00:55] <Spiritcurse> "To the tower?"
[00:55] <Codex> "Yes."
[00:56] <Spiritcurse> "You don't want to go to the tower, friend, trust me."
[00:56] <Codex> "Tell me about it then, why ever not?"
[00:57] <Spiritcurse> "It's where the king resides, with his favoured subjects. It's been there since the beginning of time, or so they say."
[00:57] <Dorian> After taking a whiff of each of the potions, I start to have a look around the room, using a faint magical radar-equivilent (Arcadar? Magidar?) to aid the scan.
[00:58] <Codex> I scoff. "Seems likely. Either way, I want directions. In-fact, scratch that, where are we?"
[00:59] <Spiritcurse> Your head swims with various auras. The first two are your potions - the green one emitting a glow of conjuration, the other a brilliant transmutation colour. Further afield, you sense a large aura of death from the room you awoke in.
[01:00] <Spiritcurse> "We're near the city of Alcatro, only about ten minutes up the path."
[01:01] <Dorian> I whistle softly. "{Damn, am I glad to be out of that room.}"
[01:01] <Codex> "{I'm gunna knock him out now. Anything else you want to ask?}"
[01:01] <Dorian> "{Hmm? Oh, no, go ahead. Wait! Kick him in the balls for me, ok?}"
[01:02] <Codex> "G'night buddy. You've not been very helpful." With those words, I grab the back of his head and slam it into the ground, fairly hard. Hard enough to break his nose, but not enough to kill him.
[01:04] <Spiritcurse> He grunts once before falling still. From the next room, you hear a faked coughing fit, as if the cowed guard was pretending not to hear his friend suffer.
[01:04] <Dorian> "<Never here, remember!>"
[01:04] <Spiritcurse> "<I've never seen you before in my life!>"
[01:05] <Codex> I chuckle, standing up. "{He's going to have fun explaining this.}"
[01:05] <Dorian> I smile, "{Don't I know it.}"
[01:08] <Codex> Flail in hand, I peer through the exit.
[01:09] <Spiritcurse> Compared with the dim light in here, the bright glare of the sun startles you. When your eyes have adjusted, you see that this complex is built into a natural rock wall, overlooking the city. A single path leads down, over hills.
[01:10] <Dorian> I peer out, smile, adjust my coat/cloak-thingy, and stride out, rerolling and pocketing the scroll.
[01:10] <Codex> "{He was right.}" I follow, peering around, checking for anyone living.
[01:11] <Spiritcurse> You are not immediately ambushed, and the sensation of warm sunlight on your skin is much more pleasant that the damp cold of the complex.
[01:12] <Codex> "{It's Hortal, by the way.}" I say, putting away my flail.
[01:12] <Codex> Flail.
[01:12] <Dorian> "{Willis Wolfe}" I smile, and hold out my hand, "{Nice to meet you.}"
[01:14] <Codex> I shake the outstretched hand. "{You more comfortable with Common?}"
[01:16] <Dorian> "I'm human. My species developed the language."
[01:17] <Codex> "Yeah, Well done with that." I retort, confused by the tone. "What are you planning then, Revenge, Escape, Investigation?"
[01:19] <Dorian> "Hey, didn't mean nothing by it. Also, I plan to have as much fun as I can, and hopefully make a little money on the way."
[01:21] <Codex> I raise an eyebrow. "You aren't concerned about the fact that we just woke up in a room a corpses? It seems like we should have died in there today."
[01:26] <Dorian> "We should have." I sigh, "That room had a phenomenal necromantic aura of a level I haven't ever even heard of outside of legends. Now, whatever put that there was of a high enough grade of power that neither you nor I could possibly even touch it before it put us down for good. Not sure about you, but I sure as hell like living."
[01:27] <Codex> I sigh. "{Magic.}"
[01:28] <Dorian> I glace at Hortal and mutter to myself in Draconic "[Goddamn Dwarves not getting basic Arcane theory...]"
[01:31] <Codex> "Alcatro, eh? Fair enough. I don't like it, but I'd rather stay alive. I don't know how far this goes, so maybe entering the city isn't a good idea."
[01:33] <Dorian> "If we can get by whatever passes for border control, we should be able to find somewhere to bed down. And if you really want to investigate this thing, well, I think I might be able to help you out."
[01:34] <Codex> "Oh?"
[01:35] <Dorian> "Sure. Magic's useful as hell, you know." I grin, and start to walk towards the town.
[01:36] <Codex> I follow you into town, staying alert all the while.
[01:37] <Spiritcurse> The entrance to the town isn't such a grand affair - there is no wall, no gatehouse, just a road leading to the town centre. Even from here you can hear the sounds of the port and marketplace, dead ahead and down the slope.
[01:39] <Dorian> As we see the town, I turn to the Dwarf, "So, how do you plan on dealing with the necromancer who empowered that room?"
[01:42] <Codex> I pause for a moment, thinking. "Magic users, you see, have this habbit of getting one good hit in on you and the collapsing under a single hit. However, that's not much of a plan, and judging by what you've said, a senseless charge isn't going to help. I guess we either need to hire help or mull over a plan of some sort. We were left that note remember? I think someone was trying to help us. That's the only way we would have survived in that room. T
[01:43] <Codex> survived in that room. The smell alone was enough to kill someone."
[01:45] <Dorian> "You have a point there. However, what you said about magic users isn't necessarily true. Ever heard of Transmutation magic?"
[01:47] <Codex> "Turning things into other things. Iron into Silver, Silver into Gold, rougly?"
[01:51] <Dorian> "Roughly, yes. However, it has other uses. It can turn a man into a living steel statue hard enough to make adamantine swords glance off his skin. It can reduce the strongest of warriors to the size of a flea, and increase a man to be a 200 foot colossus that can level cities with a swing of an arm. It can even reduce you to dust with a thought." I stop walking and look dead at Hortal. "And this school is not considered to be a combative one. Do
[01:51] <Dorian> you understand?"
[01:53] <Spiritcurse> As you walk, you pass what looks to be a small temple on your left. The market is but a few minutes down the road from here.
[01:53] <Codex> I nod slowly. "Yes, but I don't know where you are going with it."
[01:54] <Dorian> "Necromancy is a combative school. There was a phenomenally powerful necromantic aura over the room we woke up in. Can you join the dots?"
[01:55] <Codex> "You think you can out-do it."
[01:56] <Dorian> "No, I do not. I think I can trick my way around it."
[01:57] <Dorian> "Magic may be useful, but sometimes, pure cunning is just better."
[02:00] <Codex> I nod. "Got it." I continue walking towards to market.
[02:02] <Spiritcurse> You reach the market within minutes. Among more mundane stores, you spot an alchemist peddling his wares from a small wagon, a blacksmith in one corner hammering out a breastplate, and a tavern dominating one side of the marketplace.
[02:04] <Codex> I nudge you and point to the Alchemist. "{Get them potions tested.}"
[02:04] <Dorian> "{Will do. I'll grab a map and maybe some healing potions whilst I'm at it, yeah?}"
[02:06] <Codex> "{Aye, I'll go see that blacksmith while you're at it. Meet you there when you're done.}"
[02:07] <Spiritcurse> The blacksmith seems an impatient man. Stripped to the waist, he hammers relentlessly as a breastplate that you immediately recognize as mithral. Eyeing it, you spot two large half-orcs repaying you the favour.
[02:08] <Dorian> "{Done. Meet in the tavern, though, I could do with a beer.}" I wave to the Dwarf and head off to the Alchemist.
[02:08] <Spiritcurse> By contrast, the alchemist is a quiet woman, holding pleasant conversation with various customers before giving them a potion, taking their gold, and bidding them a good day. You spot a break in the crowd, and manage to get close enough to speak with her.
[02:09] <Spiritcurse> "Hello there sir, can I interest you in anything? Potions, wands, unguents, oils, scrolls, maps, anything to suit your arcane urges." Somehow, she says all this in one breath, ending with a dazzling smile.
[02:12] <Dorian> "Good day, ma'am. I have a job for you to do." I take out the potions and hold them up, "I would like these identified." I raise the Conjuration one, "This one is of the Conjuration school," I lower it and raise the other, "and this one is Transmutation. Can you help me?"
[02:13] <Codex> I look over the Blacksmiths work for a while, admireing it, and I don't speak up until he pauses. I'd hate to interupt art.
[02:13] <Spiritcurse> "Of course I can, sir. That'll be a mere gold piece each." She smiles again and takes the potions, distilling them into various alchemical devices. "Might I ask where you found these specimens? They're a very nice blend." She asks in a conversational tone, pleasant and not too curious.
[02:14] <Spiritcurse> Sensing you watching, the blacksmith pauses. "You want something? Anything on the racks are for sale, or I can make it for you in time."
[02:15] <Dorian> I take out three gold and pass it over, "Keep the change. I found them in the hands of a friend, who now has rather more money. Said they were good, but not sure exactly what they were."
[02:16] <Spiritcurse> "Well, they seem to be fairly good quality. The green one seems to be delay poison, the blue seems to be eagle's splendour. I'd be more than willing to buy them from you, or trade them in for anything you see here."
[02:17] <Dorian> "That is good. I'll keep the Delay Poison, I think, but Eagle's Speldour? Any healing potions I could trade it for?"
[02:18] <Codex> "The armour you're crafting there looks like it could have been made by a Dwarf. Is it spoken for?"
[02:18] <Spiritcurse> "I'd be more than happy to trade two cure lights for that, of course" she smiles again, and you think you can sense a hint of eagle's splendour in her perfume.
[02:19] <Spiritcurse> "This set is, but I've got enough for another set. It ain't cheap though. And don't get any ideas, the boys here know how to deal with thieves."
[02:20] <Codex> "Wouldn't dream of it, I've spent a bit of time on the craft myself." I pause for moment. "How much would you be looking for for another set?"
[02:22] <Spiritcurse> "Oh, a small fortune lad, this is rare stuff. Around twelve hundred for a chain shirt, up to nine-and-half thousand for plate. Maybe less if you could bring me some of the raw stuff, o' course."
[02:22] <Dorian> "Ma'am, you have yourself a deal. Now, how much for a map of the town?"
[02:23] <Spiritcurse> "I can do a town map for one gold, just because it's you."
[02:24] <Codex> I twitch at the word lad, then again at the "nine-and-half-thousand". "Fair enough. I'll definately be coming back for that at some point then. What about that Flail on the rack?"
[02:25] <Spiritcurse> "Call it six hundred for a mithral one."
[02:25] <Dorian> I smile broadly, "That good a deal? I must be in your good books. A thousand times done. In fact, I think that might just be too good a deal." I take out two gold and pass it over, picking up a town map as I do. "Now, what time do you get off work?"
[02:26] <Spiritcurse> "Oh, you're too kind, sir. Usually about seven, why?" She blushes and giggles a little.
[02:27] <Codex> I nod. "Are you interested in my shield?"
[02:27] <Spiritcurse> "It genuine dwarven? I happen to be somewhat of a collector."
[02:29] <Codex> "Aye, made by my own clan."
[02:30] <Dorian> "I would like to buy you a drink, maybe even dinner. Everything's on me, only the best. Sound good?"
[02:30] <Spiritcurse> "Ah, wonderful! I'll tell you what, I'll give you that flail you've got your eye on for four fifty and your shield, yes?"
[02:31] <Codex> "You've got a deal, as long as your boys there stop scowling at me." I give a small chuckle.
[02:31] <Spiritcurse> "That sounds... wonderful! I must say, it's been a while since a traveller's been so nice, and so handsome" she blushes again, clearly unused to behaving this way.
[02:32] <Spiritcurse> "Agreed. Knock it off lads, he's good." The blacksmith reaches for the flail, passing it to you. "Feel the quality on that? It's mithral beautiful?"
[02:33] <Codex> I give it a quick couple of swings, being careful and precise with my swings.
[02:34] <Codex> I immidately unbuckle my shield and hand it over. "Bloody beautiful indeed."
[02:34] <Spiritcurse> "You seem rather skilled, it's nice to know my work's going to someone who'll use it right. Crack a goblin or two for me, aye?"
[02:35] <Dorian> "It's been a very long while since I've seen a woman as beautiful as you, my dear. See you back here at... let's say quarter to eight, shall we? Should give a little leeway for a booking at eight, and some time for each of us to get ready."
[02:37] <Spiritcurse> She giggles and blushes again, and you can just about hear "Sounds great" in between the tinkle of half elven laughter.
[02:38] <Codex> "I will." I say, as I count out the coins and pass them over.
[02:39] <Spiritcurse> The blacksmith pockets the coins before wishing you good luck and turning back to his work. "Oh, and if you want, check with the port master - he might have a job or two for you."
[02:39] <Dorian> I pick my potions up, give her a smile and a wink, say "See you.", and walk off, aiming not for the bar but for the nearest Tailor.
[02:40] <Spiritcurse> Though not marked on your map, there is a tailor just a few minutes down the road, towards the teleport ground.
[02:40] <Codex> "I will, thank you sir, have a nice day!" I put away my new flail and make for the tavern. Expecting to meet my friend there soon.
[02:41] <Spiritcurse> The tavern is crowded, but not intolerably so. The people inside make room for a well armed dwarf in full plate, and you are able to reach the bar in moments. The barkeeper is idly cleaning a table while he passes out drinks.
[02:43] <Codex> I attempt to catch the eye of the barkeep. When successful, I say "Got anything stout?"
[02:44] <Spiritcurse> "Got some dwarven ale, fresh from Khravaire. Fancy some?"
[02:45] <Codex> "Aye, gods know I need a pint or two."
[02:45] <Dorian> I walk into the tailors and approach the store assistant. "Greetings. I wish for two things from you right now. I wish to purchase a fine set of clothes and I wish to know what the fanciest resteraunt in town is. Can you help me?"
[02:45] <Spiritcurse> Noticing your race, the barkeep tactfully pours you two pints straight off.
[02:46] <Spiritcurse> "Well then sir, do you know your size? And the best restaurant is probably the Gilded Lamb, down by the docks."
[02:47] <Codex> I place a gold piece on the bar and begin the first. "Keep 'em comin'."
[02:48] <Spiritcurse> The barkeep grins. "Regular then, are we? What brings you to our fine little town?"
[02:49] <Codex> I pause for a moment, realising how conspicuous I am in plate armour. "Just wondering around, seeing if I can find some work. Fancied a change of scenery, you know?"
[02:50] <Spiritcurse> "Sure, we get a lot like that. You checked with the port master?"
[02:52] <Codex> "Not yet. I've been told that already, Fancied a good pint first though." I take a large swig. "And this most definately reaches my standard."
[02:53] <Spiritcurse> "Thank you, like I say, fresh from Khravaire. Which took some doing - the pirates tend not to like shipping these days."
[02:54] <Codex> "Pirates, eh? That what the port master needs help with?"
[02:54] <Dorian> "My size? Sure. I'm 5' 10'', 150lbs, got a BWH of 38-36-40, 22'' sleeve, 32'' leg, shoe size 8."
[02:56] <Spiritcurse> "Wouldn't surprise me, he's sending a lot up that way" the barkeep responds, absent-mindedly serving you another drink.
[02:56] <Spiritcurse> "Ah, excellent, sir! We've got plenty in that size, if sir could just indicate his prefered colour and style..."
[02:57] <Codex> I finish my first and move on the second. I decide to spend an hour or two trying to collect information on the town.
[02:59] <Spiritcurse> You don't gather much information from the patrons, other than being recommended to buy a map of the town from the alchemist.
[03:01] <Dorian> "White shirt, black trouser, black waist coat, leather belt, small buckle, black shoes, black undergarments, black jacket with white trimmings. I like a blank slate of an outfit.
[03:01] <Codex> I finish my third pint and head off to the Alchemist.
[03:02] <Spiritcurse> "Marvellous! If you'd just give me a moment to gather that up, sir. That'll be around sixty gold."
[03:02] <Spiritcurse> "Hi there, is there anything I can get you? Oils, potions, wands, maps?" the woman beams a smile, clearly distracted by something.
[03:04] <Dorian> I sigh, "Fine." I take out the money and hand it over.
[03:05] <Spiritcurse> "Thank you very much sir. If there's any problems, just come back and we'll be happy to repair any damage it may suffer."
[03:06] <Codex> "Aye, I was wondering if I could pick up a map from yourself, the bar patrons informed me you sold them." I give a smile as I say this, unable to not against her own.
[03:07] <Spiritcurse> "Of course you can, sir. One gold piece, please" she smiles again, passing you a small roll of parchment.
[03:08] <Dorian> "Thank you, that is brilliant." I take the clothes and put them in my pack, making sure they are well folded.
[03:08] <Codex> I pass over a gold piece as I take the parchment. For a moment, I look at the potions and ask "How much do you sell healing potions for then?"
[03:09] <Spiritcurse> "Fifty gold each, sir, less if you can provide me with a few herbs to make some more."
[03:09] <Spiritcurse> The tailor bows and takes a seat, sewing something ornate and decorative.
[03:10] <Codex> I nod, "May I purchase one of those then?"
[03:10] <Spiritcurse> "Of course, here you are, sir. Guaranteed to cure light injury, or your money back!" she says with a slight laugh.
[03:11] <Dorian> With a smile, I then leave, headed straight for the tavern. At any point, if I catch the eye of the Alchemist, I wink and smile at her.
[03:11] <Codex> I chuckle and take a peek at the map I just purchased. "Teleport Ground?"
[03:12] <Spiritcurse> Perfectly on cue, she giggles and waves back, almost knocking over a large amount of glass in turning back to her customer. "Don't you have them? Magically made to be easy to teleport to and from, and usually a few people crowd around and offer teleports for cheap."
[03:14] <Codex> I smile and don't notice my friend as he walks past. "No, we do, its just that I didn't expect a small town to possess one." I pause for another moment, studying the map. "Well thank you, I'll take my leave now. Take care!"
[03:15] <Codex> With this, I head to the tavern, for some more drinks.
[03:17] <Spiritcurse> The barkeep welcomes you back with a grin and a fresh tankard of ale, apparently poured before you even entered the door.
[03:18] <Codex> I smile at the barkeep and take a quick look at the tankard. Slightly suspicious.
[03:19] <Spiritcurse> You don't sense any poison, though the scent of dwarven ale typically is too much of an assault on the senses to note much else.
[03:20] <Codex> I give it a sip, testing the taste before risking a swig.
[03:20] <Spiritcurse> As you enter the tavern in your new clothes, you draw more than a few glances, from worried men to attracted women.
[03:20] <Spiritcurse> The ale tastes normal, and the barkeep comments "Figured you'd be coming back, with no time to lose". He grins.
[03:21] <Codex> "Aye, thanks." I grin at the barkeep.
[03:21] <Dorian> I walk up to my friend, "Pelor above, are you honestly going to drink that?" I glance up at the barkeep, "No offense meant, it's just that Dwarven ale hurts my sinuses."
[03:22] <Spiritcurse> "Mine too, but it keeps the dwarven folk buying."
[03:23] <Codex> I give a light chuckle. "I wouldn't expect a human to like it."
[03:24] <Dorian> "I wouldn't expect a human to survive it, what's IN that stuff?"
[03:24] <Spiritcurse> "Have to keep the stuff away from elves too. They come in thinking they'll be fine, half a pint and they're out. Humans aren't too much better."
[03:25] <Codex> I just keep swigging, with a smile on my face. "We've earnt a drink today. What's with the get-up anyway?"
[03:28] <Dorian> "I've got me a date. That alchemist chick, out front. Taking her to the Golden Lamb. 'Least, I think it's called that." Once again, I look up at the barkeep. "Once again, no offense, it's just that, well, I want a first date to be as swank as possible."
[03:30] <Codex> "After what happened today." I shake my head and turn to the barkeep. "How much for a room for the night?"
[03:30] <Spiritcurse> "That's fine, I took my love there for our first date too, it's a nice place." He points out one of the staff in the kitchen. "Beautiful. Can't do better than half elven stock, if they'll stand the sight of ya."
[03:30] <Spiritcurse> "Oh, call it a gold - after the amount of ale you've bought, I'll be in business a long time." He laughs again.
[03:32] <Dorian> "I'll pay two, why not? You seem like a nice guy and I'm sure your rooms are more than worth it."
[03:33] <Spiritcurse> "Now now son, no need to flash the cash to me, I'm not yer date." He grins however, pockets the gold, and passes you a key.
[03:34] <Dorian> "Hey, I just think the local establishments need to be kept in business.
[03:35] <Codex> I place another gold on the table and turn to my friend. "We need to see the Dock Master tomorrow by the way. Something about pirates."
[03:36] <Dorian> "Oh for the love of St. Cuthbert we are not taking on goddamn pirates."
[03:36] <Spiritcurse> The barkeep pockets the coin and passes you another key. "Next door to his - up those stairs, first and second on the left."
[03:36] <Dorian> "Cheers.
[03:36] <Codex> I nod and look outside, trying to judge the time.
[03:37] <Spiritcurse> It looks to be around five, judging by the slowly setting sun.
[03:37] <Codex> "We should check it out anyway." I give a stern look to you before turning back to my tankard.
[03:39] <Spiritcurse> "He's usually got a few other jobs going, if pirates ain't for you."
[03:40] <Dorian> "This sounds good. Money is always good."
[03:41] <Spiritcurse> "Last I heard, he was looking for someone to escort a ship to Kha'ti Lun, across the bay. There's also a problem to the south, if you haven't got yer sea legs yet."
[03:43] <Codex> "We need to visit the teleport ground also." I say, as I take in the words of the barkeep.
[03:44] <Spiritcurse> "Usually a good idea. No use for bulk transit, but they'll get you where you want to be. Once you've been, of course. Something to do with arcano-spiritual attunement."
[03:46] <Dorian> "Damn conjurers and their custom arcanobabble."
[03:47] <Spiritcurse> "I thought the same when they rolled up, but it means me kids can write home more often, so it's alright by me. Now, I'd better go serve that lot there." He gestures to a group of half-orcs, and moves away.
[03:51] <Codex> "What shall we do until your date then?"
[03:55] <Dorian> "Huh. Erm... drink?"
[03:58] <Codex> "I'm okay with this."
[00:48] <Codex> {What've you found?}
[00:51] <Dorian> "{Potions, scrolls, and cash.
Re: 3.5 Gestalt Game, actually happening
[21:15] <@Spiritcurse> After a long night of wining and dining, either with a pretty young half-elf or the patrons of a rather entertained bar, you retired to your rooms. The following morning, plauged only be the lightest of hangovers, you are woken by sunlight streaming through your window and the sounds of commerce from the marketplace outside.
[21:16] <Dorian> I yawn and stretch, sitting up in bed.
[21:20] <Codex> I roll over, Mumbling something about light being evil.
[21:23] <Dorian> "Can't say that round here." I stand up and pull on a pair of pants. "Think they've got a sun god or something."
[21:23] <@Spiritcurse> You hear a shout from outside, not matching local accents. It sounds angry, though you can't place the words over the sounds of the crowd.
[21:23] <Codex> "Pelor, shmellor." I mutter, standing and reaching for my equipment.
[21:25] <Dorian> I pull on my mail and my various other garments, buckling my sword to my belt last thing. "What do you think they're shouting about?"
[21:27] <@Spiritcurse> Straining your dwarven ears, you can just about make out an argument about prices. Apparently the angry man refuses to pay such a price, and will take it by force if he must.
[21:28] <Codex> "Someone's gettin' robbed." I say, donning my final piece of equipment.
[21:29] <Dorian> "Literally or metaphorically?"
[21:29] <Codex> "Litterally." I say, rushing to the door.
[21:30] <@Spiritcurse> The barman greets cheerfully you as you enter the main room of the tavern. The room is mostly clear, save for a barmaid cleaning in one corner. "Had a good night? Heard you went out with Soria" he quips with a grin.
[21:30] <@Spiritcurse> Seeing the expression on each of your faces, he suddenly develops a keen interest in his ale stock, behind him.
[21:31] <Codex> "We'll just be a moment." I say, heading outside towards the commosion.
[21:31] <Dorian> I grimace, and walk out of the door, looking confident.
[21:32] <@Spiritcurse> Outside, a burly man in black plate armour is shouting at the blacksmith. The half orcs are squared up to him, but you can spot at least two others in similar black leather armour in the crowd.
[21:34] <Dorian> I sigh, and, placing my hand on my sword's hilt, walk over. "Any problems here?"
[21:35] <@Spiritcurse> The armoured man ignores you, resorting instead to cursing under his breath. The blacksmith spits and says "This man claims he's here to pick up the adamant shipment for Kharvaire! I've had no such notice, and wouldn't sell it for as low a price as he offers!"
[21:36] <Codex> "I think this man should leave. How about you boys?" I direct the last part to the Half-Orcs.
[21:36] <Dorian> "I'm sure this can be worked out without too much violence."
[21:37] <@Spiritcurse> The orcs nod and heft large maces.
[21:37] <Codex> "Aye, I'm sure it can." I reply, a hand on my new mithril flail.
[21:39] <@Spiritcurse> Behind you, you catch a glimpse of one of the leather armoured men lifting something to his mouth. A second later, one of the half orcs collapses, a small dart sticking from his neck.
[21:41] <Codex> "How about you leave, and get to keep--" I whirl around to the man in leather.
[21:41] <Dorian> I spin on the spot and point at the man in question, invoking various arcane powers.
[21:42] <@Spiritcurse> He collapses to the floor, asleep before he hits the ground. The crowd scatters, and you hear screaming. After the first bout of screams, you hear several daggers and swords being unsheathed, and the clink of somebody lifting a bottle.
[21:43] <Dorian> "Oh, this is going to go brilliantly."
[21:43] <Codex> "Well now." I say, drawing my flails.
[21:45] <@Spiritcurse> The plate armoured mans fist crackles with fire as he draws a sword in his other hands. He steps back, and two more leather armoured men split from the group. The blacksmith lifts a hammer, and you see Soria run towards you, rapier and bottle in her hands.
[21:46] <Codex> "I'm on the plated bastard." I say, stepping towards him.
[21:46] <Dorian> I draw my sword, "Now, then, boys, I'm sure we can do this without any form of violence."
[21:47] <@Spiritcurse> Soria laughs, lifting a rapier. "I'm not."
[21:51] <Dorian> I take a defensive stance and start to mutter under my breath, invoking a small hypnotic illusion.
[21:53] <@Spiritcurse> The two assassins seem to halt in their tracks, while the plate armoured man just laughs.
[21:54] <Dorian> I tut, "Typical."
[21:54] <@Spiritcurse> The half orcs and blacksmith step forward to the leader, swinging for his chest. Two of the maces make contact with a loud clang, and he staggers back a step.
[21:55] <@Spiritcurse> Soria picks a potion out of a satchel and throws it one of the assassins. It bursts into a sticky web, trapping him as he tries to claw free.
[22:00] <Codex> I run at the plated man with both flails and swing wildly, missing dramatically. In frustration, I throw the non-mithril flail to the floor.
[22:01] <@Spiritcurse> The plated man returns the swing, missing by a wide margin. You hear a crackle as fire dances from his hand down his blade.
[22:01] <@Spiritcurse> The two assassins struggle against their mental and physical barriers, but are unable to move.
[22:02] <Dorian> I step out of my stance and swing at the plated man.
[22:04] <Dorian> My blade only just doesn't skewer the man, going through his side and narrowly missing his stomach.
[22:06] <@Spiritcurse> The blacksmith, sighing with years of oppressed peasant rage, smashes the skull of the leader with one swing of his hammer. His standing half-orc bodyguard whistles with admiration.
[22:07] <@Spiritcurse> Watching the scene, Soria quietly retches and turns away, thankfully not actually vomiting. "I... wow..."
[22:11] <Codex> I sigh. Mumbling about unlucky maces and proceed to approach the two leather clad men. I put the hypnotised one to the ground. "We'd better tie 'em up I guess."
[22:11] <Codex> "Nice swing by the way," I say to the blacksmith.
[22:12] <@Spiritcurse> "I've been wanting to do that for YEARS" he replies, going back to his forge to clean his hammer.
[22:12] <Dorian> I glance at the man breifly before heading over to Soria, "You ok?"
[22:13] <@Spiritcurse> "Yeah... I don't often see... y'know, death. Dead bodies and blood, yes, but... the actual killing."
[22:15] <Dorian> "I know. I try not to think about it. Mostly by getting really drunk or by going to church."
[22:16] <@Spiritcurse> Behind you, you see the half orc waking up the unconcious one. Now that you think about it, they look a lot like brothers.
[22:16] <@Spiritcurse> "I'm not really a temple person... but drinking could be good. And... getting out of here. I won't be able to work here again, not after seeing that in front of my stall."
[22:18] <Dorian> "Then I believe we have a plan. Step one, get rather drunk. Step two, figure out where to go. Step three, go there. Step four.... eh, we'll work that one out when we get there."
[22:19] <@Spiritcurse> "Sounds perfect to me. I'll go pack my stuff." Soria walks away a little unsteadily, and begins packing alchemical equipment into a bag.
[22:22] <Codex> "Rope, anyone?"
[22:25] <Dorian> "None here, sorry." I appear to be keeping an eye on Soria, hesitating on wether or not to help her.
[22:25] <@Spiritcurse> She appears more stable now, and soon stands up with a large backpack full of goods.
[22:26] <Codex> "Well then, help me get some information out of one of these." I gesture to the three sleeping assassins.
[22:28] <Dorian> I walk over to her, "Want to leave that in our inn room?"
[22:29] <@Spiritcurse> "Umm... okay then, thank you." She smiles nervously, then heads to the inn. "When will we be leaving?"
[22:29] <Codex> I curse under my breath. "How about you boys," I say to the Orcs. "Fancy giving me a hand here?"
[22:30] <@Spiritcurse> His brother still not fully awake, the half orc nods. "Yeah, what'cha need?"
[22:30] <Dorian> "If I have anything to say about it, tomorrow."
[22:31] <@Spiritcurse> "Okay... Any idea where we're going?"
[22:31] <Codex> "Help me tie this lot up before they wake up from his spells or this... stuff wears off." I look over to the man covered in sticky stuff.
[22:32] <Dorian> "Hmmm.... travelling, probably. Kharvaire, unless you have any particular objection?"
[22:32] <@Spiritcurse> "Got it, there should be some rope in the forge." He jogs away and returns a moment later, plenty of rope in hand.
[22:33] <@Spiritcurse> "Are you sure, even with the war on? Could be dangerous."
[22:33] <Dorian> "This... is very true. Hmmm.... not sure, then. Find a shipment elaving town, get a lift to wherever sounds best?"
[22:34] <@Spiritcurse> "That works for me, there must be somewhere better than here. You got money?"
[22:35] <Dorian> I think breifly, before taking out my money pouch. "Seven hundred and fifty nine gold peices at elst count."
[22:36] <@Spiritcurse> "Wow, that should be more than enough. Are you sure you want me to come with you?"
[22:36] <Dorian> "Why would I ever not be?" I smile, and give her a light kiss on her cheek.
[22:37] <Codex> I take the rope and proceed to tie up the leather clad men. I nod a thanks to the Half-Orc as I take the rope.
[22:37] <@Spiritcurse> Soria giggles, and you can see her much happier than before. "Thank you, so much."
[22:38] <@Spiritcurse> As you finish tying the hypnotised man, last, the spell wears off. Seeing you towering over him, a rare thing for a dwarf to do, he pretends to be unconcious.
[22:40] <Codex> I proceed to do the same to the sleeping one.
[22:41] <@Spiritcurse> The sleeping assassin snores gently and doesn't even move as you tie him up.
[22:41] <Dorian> "Now, if you'll excuse me, dear, I need to visit the temple." I give her a wink. "It would be foolish to not cover all our bases luck wise, would it not?"
[22:42] <@Spiritcurse> "I guess so, have fun!". Soria wanders into the inn, with what appears to be a steadfast determination to drink.
[22:42] <Codex> I approach the one covered in sticky shit and wonder what to do. I shout over to the alchemist, "How long with this last?" Pointing at the goo.
[22:42] <Dorian> I grin, nod at my Dwarven friend, and head for the temple.
[22:43] <@Spiritcurse> "About ten more seconds!" she shouts back, already holding a pint.
[22:44] <@Spiritcurse> The temple is quiet this early in the morning, but you can see an elderly man tending the plants outside it.
[22:45] <Dorian> "Greetings, sir." I say, approaching the elderly man, "What gods are worshipped here?"
[22:45] <@Spiritcurse> "Sha'Tella, patron god of trade, fertility, and light. We also have a small shrine to each of the other major gods, of course."
[22:46] <Codex> I proceed to drop on the man in goo, hoping to tie him before the stuff wears off.
[22:46] <Dorian> "This is good. Now, would you happen to sell holy symbols?"
[22:47] <@Spiritcurse> "We only have one true symbol, the eyes of Sha'Tella, but we have replicas of each of the other symbols. No intrinsic power, but they'll do."
[22:49] <Dorian> "Which is good enough for me. I would like one replica of each, please, and one copy of the eyes of Sha'Tella."
[22:50] <@Spiritcurse> "That'll be one gold each for the replicas, and twenty for a true copy of the eyes. So twenty five in total, if you would."
[22:50] <Codex> Once finished, I leave the men outside and chuckle to myself, proceeding to return to the inn, for a drink.
[22:50] <Dorian> I count out thirty gold and pass it over. "The five is a donation, of course."
[22:51] <@Spiritcurse> "You are a kind man, Sha'Tella watch over you. Do you require anything else?"
[22:53] <@Spiritcurse> Inside the inn, you notice most of the crowd have settled there to drink. It seems subdued, and you get more than one glance of admiration from the people. Soria is in your room, sat on Willis' bed.
[22:54] <Dorian> "No, that will be all, thank you." As I leave, I give a breif prayer to each statue along the lines of "May any gods who do witness this watch over me, as they do please."
[22:54] <@Spiritcurse> Each altar glimmers slightly as you pray, and the man nods. "Good to see a young man following the true ways."
[22:57] <Dorian> I nod to the man, "The truth is where you find it, sir." I then proceed to head back to the inn.
[22:58] <@Spiritcurse> Upon entering the inn, you notice that the dwarf has been given a wide berth. Soria is still sat on your bed, writing in a book or journal.
[23:00] <Dorian> I head up to my room and plonk myself next to Soria, "Watchya doin'?"
[23:01] <@Spiritcurse> She snaps the book shut and bolts upright. "N- nothing. Just... revising my spells for today."
[23:01] <Dorian> I sigh, "Ah, the only failing of a wizard, to decide your tool kit before you need it."
[23:03] <@Spiritcurse> "I know, it's a curse. At least I get a free scholarship back home."
[23:03] <Dorian> I smile, "Now that I can get behind."
[23:03] <@Spiritcurse> "You'd want to visit?"
[23:04] <Dorian> "Of course I would."
[23:05] <@Spiritcurse> "We'll have to try. I know they dislike foreigners, but I can vouch for you."
[23:06] <Dorian> I put my arm round her shoulder, and switch to Elven. "<Would this be of any use?>"
[23:07] <@Spiritcurse> "<I suppose it wouldn't count against you. Elven's a beautiful language, isn't it?>"
[23:07] <Dorian> "<It is. Flows so much better than common or Dwarven.>"
[23:08] <@Spiritcurse> "<And so beautiful to write - do you write much, for pleasure?>"
[23:09] <Dorian> "<I do take somewhat of a pleasure from a well-written script, yes.>"
[23:10] <@Spiritcurse> "<Ah, you'll fit in perfectly at home. Would you be wanting to study?>"
[23:11] <Dorian> "<If I could, yes.>"
[23:12] <@Spiritcurse> "<Well, I'm sure I could get you a place.>"
[23:12] <Dorian> I look straight into her eyes, "<That would be wonderful, darling.>"
[23:13] <@Spiritcurse> "<You're so charming>" Soria replies, before giggling and wandering to the bar. "<Got to get ready for this journey>"
[23:13] <Dorian> I smile, "<Don't worry, I will be.>"
[21:16] <Dorian> I yawn and stretch, sitting up in bed.

[22:36] <Dorian> "Why would I ever not be?" I smile, and give her a light kiss on her cheek.

[23:03] <@Spiritcurse> "I know, it's a curse. At least I get a free scholarship back home."
[23:03] <Dorian> I smile, "Now that I can get behind."
[23:03] <@Spiritcurse> "You'd want to visit?"
